***Championship Week Thread***

Wow.

Georgetown somehow beat Villanova. That was done, I thought earlier, no way I gave GU a chance. Won by 1.

Why are defensive players allowed to slap the backboard when attempting to block shots, even if don't hit the ball first? It has to effect the shot, by shaking the backboard and thus the rim.

You'd be hard pressed to tell me that some of those slaps aren't intentional, either.

It was an awkwardly bad fall by the Minnesota player, but that was no F1.

Minnesota given a total gift here.

As long as it’s a legitimate play on the ball it’s allowed

I see the BIG got Mich St. into the tournament with their regular season gifts. I assume today's loss was officiated more correctly-oop, I mean closely.

Minnesota might win this game, but it'll be Ohio St who beats Ohio St.

Remember how this OSU squad was fairly firmly on the 1-line like 2.5 weeks ago?? Yeah, they should be on the 4-line (at best) now.

Thanks for playing, Minnesota.

Grab your participation ribbon on the way out.

The reffing seems bad in this game - and the ones before it - but only because they've actually called these games the right way.

After the "1 yard and a cloud of dust" of the B1G regular season, these teams are having a hard time adjusting to not be able to physically abuse, I mean play really tight defense, like they did in the past 18-20 games.

Don't worry that style will return tomorrow night against Luka.

Luka, and most other Iowa players, get hit like Carr and that was a "play on" in the B1G regular season.

And no F1 ruling. Unlike the earlier call that went Minny's way, this was an F1. Carr probably sold it more than he needed to, but he did get a swinging elbow to the neck/chin.

Saw a stat last night that MINN was around 330th in the nation in 3Pt%, they were 39.5% against Iowa (17-43) and 27.8% (182-655) the rest of the year. Woof.

Until Iowa's D efficiency really skyrocketed - thanks to going primarily man-2-man - this was not an aberration. It was a trend that teams experienced such nights against the Hawks and their bad zone D.

LOL.

Its gonna be foul and stop the clock marathon... Minny to extend the game, and OSU to not give up a tying 3.

Nice job Minny...I know we don't like Gopherville but to be playing without Robbins is a huge a risk for Minny....

That's a big time player to not have for the Gophers...
