Hmmm good question. I would say 100%... Only if he actually gets an injury that requires surgery. Other than that I would give a slim to none chance CJB gets/needs surgery.
I'm guessing if he really needed surgery then they'd do it sooner rather than later. So in reality he doesn't need surgery so I'd say 0% chance.
Until a certain HR poster confirms it I won't believe anything anyone posts.
If he needed it, my guess is it'd already be done. Recovery is what 3-6 weeks? So we could have him back by the Purdue/Nebraska games if he'd needed surgery.
What sort of black magic BS is this? Some ass mentions "the one that shall not be mentioned" last week and now this. Its like freaking amateur hour around here.
Well, I haven't examined the patient, and I don't know anything about medicine. But, I have examined the postings on the internet, and I looked up sports hernia on Wikipedia. I also stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night and watch several episodes of Seinfeld.
Without question I would say the chances are 60% that he will have surgery and 55% that he won't.

Two things:
- Our football programs MO is to inhibit kids from further injury. If he's injured and the injury presents a risk, he won't play. Kirk won't put players at risk.

Sports hernias are very painful, uncomfortable, and limiting. That being said, they can be played through. I know a number of former players that played through one and had it surgically repaired in the offseason or just gave it time to heal by itself after they finished playing. I would imagine unless CJ has one that is significantly worse, he will do the same thing.
Don't think it's a serious groin injury. I think he took a good shot to the nards. Taken a few of those in my days, but I'm still goin'. I think once the rumors started flying, KF and CJ have played it perfectly to set NW up. CJ will come out firing and a surprised NW D will once again find themselves on the ropes early. All part of the plan guys, all part of the plan. New Kirk is a sly Kirk!
