1. I've heard they are throwing a bunch of money.Unless Pitt is going to toss a bunch of money at him, why would Cunningham be interested in the job instead of waiting for a major program opening?
1. I've heard they are throwing a bunch of money.
2. The same reason people say Cael went to PSU. The most fertile recruiting ground in the country.
3. There are not going to be any major program openings for at least3 years (probably longer). ISU and Minnesota just got new coaches. Oklahoma got one last year. Cael, Brands, Smith, Ryan aren't going anywhere.
cunninghman isn't going anywhere. He makes plenty at PSU and they have a heck of a run going there
Agree, a good coach is the only thing keeping Pitt from being a major program.
I will modify your statement by saying that a good coach AND university "all in" to revamp the program (including a RTC) are all that is needed. In fact, the second ingredient is much more important than the first imho. Seeing is believing though.Agree, a good coach is the only thing keeping Pitt from being a major program.

I've said this before but if Jordan Burroughs took over Rutgers.....
What are the chances cunningham goes to be head coach at pitt?? One would think there would be mutual interest there??
So the lack of money and lack of commitment from the athletic dept are no big deal?Agree, a good coach is the only thing keeping Pitt from being a major program.
It's seems like Strittmatter would be a logical choice...
https://www.google.com/amp/amp.lehi...es/20354273/troubled_waters_ahead_for_pat.ampI think Santoro will end up at Pitt
If I could, I'd give this two likes. Not everyone wants to be the lead dog at a program.I'd say Kolat to Pitt, because I view CC almost like Terry. Good $$$, no administrative headaches, and less pressure.
Kolat would be an awesome hire for Pitt. That's the best thing they could do realisticallyI'd say Kolat to Pitt, because I view CC almost like Terry. Good $$$, no administrative headaches, and less pressure.
If Strittmatter goes to Pitt. there goes Iowa`s pipeline to Pa. wrestlers. It's seems like Strittmatter would be a logical choice...
The day after the Pitt position became open, Strittmatter stated he was not interested in the Pitt job.
