I could probably go on and on but I will start with Time Out. Chicken and Cheese biscuit is what you should start every day with. Its down right on campus so there is some good stuff to see. They have good Chicken and mac and cheese as well.

Mama Dips is probably the most famous restaurant in that area. Good soul food southern cooking.

There is a good place about 45 min south of Chapel Hill called Pik N Pig. Its down towards Pinehurst in the middle of nowhere. Great BBQ, you have to reserve your ribs for Saturday night or you wont get any, and don't leave with out getting the nanner pudding.

The Pit in Raleigh is probably the best BBQ in the area.

The Flying Burrito for Mexican. They have a great pulled pork burrito.

Blu Seafood and Backyard BBQ Pit are both in Durham if you want the Duke atmosphere.

Not food related but if you like Pappy Van Winkle you can get it at the Crunkleton on their main drag. Cool little bar as well.
