I think the fact that Illinois is so in debt and continues to welcome, shelter and protect illegals at the expense of taxpayers, is offensive. Well, it's more of a disgrace.
Those aren't "illegal immigrants". They are new voters to prop up and sustain the Chicago machine.
I don't think I've ever heard anyone call the tribune liberal before.

I object to the term because it is simply illogical and bad grammar. The person is not illegal. They are doing something that is illegal.
You are forgetting the alien part. Illegal is simply describing their alien status. Anyone offended by it likely has serious mental health issues.

Why does everything need to be shortened? Also, what we are really talking about is immigrants not aliens. An alien can be a person who just comes from another country for vacation or temporary work but still lives in their home country.
So do you object to someone being called a felon? The person is not a felon, it was the act that was felonious?
Actually, this is wrong. A felon is defined as a person committing a felony. Like a criminal is a person guilty of committing a crime.
I'm not offended by illegal aliens. I just think it is a poor use of words. And no, I am not offended by resident aliens, unless they do something to offend me.
Bc being offended by something as simple as a basic legal description of alien status is pathetic. Illegal alien is no different than people legally labeled resident aliens, non immigrant aliens etc... accept to some that can't seem to accept the fact they are here illegally!
