Is it bad football a team needing to win playing against backups? Of course.

Is it worth it as a Chiefs fan to screw over the Bengals? Also of course.

Denver is playing great. They'll be the 7 seed? Maybe this win will propel them to a win over Buffalo. Then they can come back to KC and get ass-raped by KC first team.

After the last 8 years I'll take a regular season ass raping even if it is their 2nd string.

If you lose in Week 18 you lose home field advantage to the 2nd runner up.

If I paid a bunch money to attend an NFL game and one of the teams was "resting the starters" I'd demand a refund.

Boomer that.

Because it's just wrong. The fans who are paying good money for tickets deserve to see the best product that both teams can put out.
Now do the NBA. It's week 18, Denver fans are happy no matter who plays because they win and are in. They should be thanking the Chiefs for the V because they've been horrible for the last 5 or 6 years.

Only goes to prove my point. The Bills had nothing to play for today, either.
No, it proves that you made a total dumbass assertion without thinking it through and instead of admitting as much or quietly bowing out of this thread you continue to double down on stupid.

What’s been going on with you lately? You’re usually pretty level headed.

I'd be pretty pissed if I paid $X,XXX for tickets to watch Matt Patrick Mahomes sit on the bench.

Why the confusion? Every game should be meaningful. The NFL rules make days like today possible. Nothing left to play for. That's messed up.
If a team wins enough games to rest their starters during the final week of the regular season, then bully for them. And I’d argue that proves EVERY game that season was meaningful.

This has nothing to do with “NFL rules” unless you’re including basic arithmetic as part of those rules.
