Chris Hassel ESPNews Game Recap

She also defended IA (and WV) as two of the hottest teams right now while making Dakich looked silly when he try to bring up Clemson as another just after the ending of the game report, lol.

I don't think she really thought about responding to him, but what he said was so absurd, she just blurted it out. Stupid Dickitch thinks he knows more because he was a coach at one point. What a jacka$$.

On-air homage to Dolph and Mac a few minutes ago: "Chips and salsa time in Iowa City and you got that right, buddy boy!" Anyone have a Vine or video of this?
I know the one studio analyst said Iowa had never swept Michigan State in any season, but looking at Iowa's schedules over the years I found that Iowa indeed swept Michigan State during the 1990/91 season....Street, Moses, Earl, Barnes, and Skinner. Beat them at home on January 5th 79-66 and at East Lansing on February 7th 71-67....be interesting if there were other years, that I missed.....

The last time we won in EL we swept them.

That was funny. She punked Dakich worse than we punked MSU.

Dakich simply pointed out that beating Duke, Syracuse, and Louisville is a pretty significant accomplishment, and Clemson should also be considered in the category of Iowa and WVU. I didn't think it was out of line. He had just given Iowa tons of love/credit, which was probably not easy for Dakich to do. It wasn't a conversation about how MSU didn't show up, the focus was on how Iowa went in and took it, and Dakich was part of that.

Hate him if you like, but not for that.

Very well put as usual. I will take you up on continuing to hate (or seriously dislike) Dakich. But not for that. I seldom listen to the announcers, they talk too much. The only complaint I have about last night is I could swear they never bothered to tell us how many fouls anyone had.

I defend Dakich completely here because he said about two or three times "Let's not make this about MSU, this is completely about Iowa and they deserve all the credit." As in, don't mention that MSU was just off their game, talk about Iowa being dominant in all facets. And then the girl (who is not Chris Hassel which some of you seem to think was?) started to get in to it with Dakich about Clemson, WVU, and Iowa.

I saw nothing wrong with Dan's comments.

At one point during halftime of the Pitt game that followed, Dan also mentioned his son (walk in at Michigan) texted to ask if Iowa was the best team in the country and he said right now they look like it. There's plenty to hate about Dakich but I think last night he was all in on Iowa.

Don't get me wrong those wins by Clemson are impressive. They've started out conference play strong but I still wouldn't put them in Iowa or West Virginia's category. They lost to UMass and Minnesota earlier this season that are pretty terrible losses and Georgia is another loss that is mediocre. If you look at full body of work Clemson isn't even close, hence why they aren't even ranked.

I think Dakich can be a huge douche with fans (trust me, that word gets you blocked by him on twitter). But he tends to be pretty fair when talking about teams. Usually.
