Well, it’s pretty apparent that Kenyon, whose name starts with a K, wanted his twin sons name’s to also start with a K while also honoring the late, great, Chris Street.
You seriously asked that? I talked to Mike and Patty (still do) and asked them if it was okay for me to spell it with a K. Chris called me his little brother and took me everywhere with him. He took me back to Indianola to see his family and spend time where he grew up. Probably the most devastating moment in my life. So the fact that I spelled his name with a K, shouldn’t make it mean any less. Great question!! 🙁
I think it's a great story, Kenyon. I was in sixth grade at the time the accident happened. It's hard to believe it's been that long, as I am almost forty now.
Just curious how your boys are liking Iowa so far and the team?
They are living their dream. They have great teammates. Fran has definitely recruited kids that want to play for each other and win as a team. They both understand that their minutes may be limited this year, but they are okay with that as long as this team reaches its full potential. Excited for them both!!
