You had a good OP and regressed to BAUAlright, now this really funny! Nice work...
Being nearly 2 hours 1 way from Des Moines with 8pm starts as well. Will make some February games with better start times with my boys. This will be the only sellout of the season. While there are issues at Carver, the primary reason for attendance problems is the lack of success over a long period of time.
43 years since last share of conference title
42 years since last time in Final Four
23 years since last appearance in Sweet 16
My oldest son is a junior at Iowa. With the lack of success for Hawkeye basketball when he was growing up, he is not highly engaged with the program. He would only consider attending a game when it’s convenient for him.
My perception is that most current students feel the same way. I would expand that to any Eastern Iowa sports fan under the age of 30.
Prolonged mediocrity has consequences in the level of fan engagement with the program among students and the potential fan base as a whole.
Oh. That wasn't what happened tonight. Fyi his youngest son, Jack, is immensely talented. At least I won't miss any football watching Fran's annual nepotism and favoritism extravaganza. So there's that.
Sorry, not trying to be a dick, but sigh... So many circle wagons moments as an Iowa fan.

It's really not.Alright, now this really funny! Nice work...
The real problem is scheduling. It's not a surprise that a Sat home game is a sell out. Iowa just doesn't get many home weekend games. They do get a lot of late night weekday games though which contributes to low attendance. This will be the only sellout of the season. Yep. 1st or 2nd fewest weekend games at home I believe, it matters. The real problem is scheduling. It's not a surprise that a Sat home game is a sell out. Iowa just doesn't get many home weekend games. They do get a lot of late night weekday games though which contributes to low attendance.
Crowd was blah but glad a technical sell out
