Worse. Six weeks till you can limp around without being asked if your Ok.High ankles are what six weeks? Tournament starts in five.. no bueno bobs
I guess I'm glad it's not his foot but, yeah, high ankle sprains are no bargain either.
Most innocuous play for such a severe injury I have ever seen.
That’s too bad, as hard as this team has fought this year, it may be catching up to them.
I’m already excited about next year. No way is Weezy ready for the NBA, Garza could come back, JBo, CJ, Patrick, Conner, another year forJT, and some of the recruits can play.
Hopefully we’re just catching a glimpse at how good this team can be next year.
Agreed. Injuries will happen next year too.Don't get your hopes up. I've heard this said many times on the Iowa podcasts and I agree with it:
Don't start dreaming about next season while you have a season right in front of you. Things tend to never work out the way you think/hope.

With four of our top 7 players sitting on the bench in suits and ties, it should be a reminder that it’s impossible for Iowa to be too deep when it comes to basketball players, running backs, or ways to count votes.
I hope Rob is right and Fran is just high.........a severe ankle sprain would be no good right now.
An injury caused CJ to redshirt last year right? Three separate injuries in two years? I hope he does not become one with constant durability concerns.
As it seems likely that he won't be available for the minny game, that one moves further into the probable loss category.
Somehow pulling off two wins of the three remaining home games appears to be the most likely pathway to a 10-10 league finish.
I am not sure on the timing, but I believe it was broken ribs from taking a Tyler Cook charge in practice. If we don't have CJ fo
I seem to recall that CJ's injury from last year occurred after the red shirt decision,... no?

Nope.Remember Kevin Ware from Louisville?
JW now needs to up his game and CMac needs to find his or this season just got derailed.
I think that's right,.. and that's not the kind of injury that should make anyone concerned about CJ's "durability"..
No. He is shooting jumpers at a very low percentage.it would really help if Toussaint can step-up more. He needs to become more reliable and stop with the terrible turnovers and be willing to shoot the open jumpers they are giving him.
This is what I thought too. Looked super weird for an ankle sprain.Still seemed like an Achilles to me with the way he went down and had to be helped off the court.
A broken bone from a true freshman guard taking a charge from a future pro forward does not mean you are more likely to hurt your ankle ligaments.People take charges all the time, how often are ribs broken from it? Three separate injuries in less than 2 years should bring durability into question.
This is where we are right now. I think Weesy needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end, and not wait until he knows his 3-pt shots aren't falling, to take it to the basket. He can at least get to the line and create fouls more often... The only other players who can really step up their games much IMO are Toussaint and Evelyn. They at least need to reduce silly turnovers and runouts for the other team. They are both solid on the defensive end, although Toussaint sometimes gets caught helping too much. I just don't see what more Luka, Connor and Kriener can do on a regular basis, and the other guys are VERY limited. Wishing a quick and complete recovery for CJ, and I hope this injury is not related to the stress reaction that kept him out earlier.Wieskamp does need to step up his consistency to match Garza - I’m not saying he is going to be at Garza’s production but he needs to bring his max consistency each night like Garza.
Connor is what he is. He might need to score a few more points and force his offense more but he has brought what his game is most nights.
