I still love Weezy but I think CJ has more offensive skills, is a better shooter and defender. Hope Weezy breaks out of his slump and regains his confidence.

Perhaps CJ’s return will take off some of the pressure. Ugh we had this game if Weezy just played an average game.

RELAX Mofos. I didn’t say anything disparaging about Weezy. I like him and am happy he’s a Hawkeye.

I was just pointing out my personal observation of the two players. I’ve consistently stated that CJ has more game than Weezy, and the past several weeks only confirms my belief.

Good Lord. Can anyone have a damn opinion on this site without these goody goody bi#tches always feeling like they gotta jump all over you?? DAMN!

Joe is more physically gifted but CJ is the better player right now because hes tougher mentally.

So you're entitled to your opinion, but how dare anyone post their opinion of that?

God forbid if Garza has a bad game in a tournament situation, all the armchair idiots out there will chime in and say that it was obvious all season that the other team should ______ to shut Garza down because he was never that good anyway, and that Fran should have had a better plan for that, etc.

Or as one monk said to the other. "Let's agree to disagree. You go ahead and do it your way, and I will continue doing it God's way!":)

Until you see CJ play without Weesy, I'm not sure how you can make a fair comparison. I am really glad we have them both, and we need them both on the court.

I don’t need to. I’ve seen how both perform playing together in games. Joe is damn good but CJ has more weapons in his arsenal offensively.

In fairness, I would point out that Weezy came into this season looking like Iowa’s best returning player and while CJ has more than earned his due, he’s definitely benefitted from being 3rd priority for defenses.

Weesy is getting slammed because of the past few games, but those critics are forgetting that he was one of the top 7 or 8 scorers in the B1G for a longer stretch before that. He wasn't on the all-freshman team because he smiles well. Both CJ and Weesy play solid defense most of the time, CJ is probably better on the perimeter, but Weesy's length allows him to also guard interior players. I think they are both excellent outside shooters, but CJ has a better handle to create his own shot and he moves better without the ball. My main complaint about Weesy is that he does too much standing on offense, and I'm not sure how much of that is by design or just him. My point that both need the other recognizes that the players and coaches in the B1G are good, and if you are the only perceived outside threat, you are probably have a really tough time scoring. That has gotten into Weesy's head and hurt his confidence in CJ's absence. We need that to change for the stretch run and tourneys, and I believe it will, if both CJ and Weesy are playing big minutes. It will also help open up Luka. GO HAWKS!
