CKLV Semis & Finals

I think Dean has heard the rumblings that while he is a winner, they are close and he is not dominating <ahem..flo> and is now on a mission to try and dominate the best weight class in America. That said, good luck handling PD3...that's just a bridge way too far my man.

Yep -- Dean has transformed from a grinder to an absolute machine. Very impressive. Also seems like a really good kid -- makes it all the easier to root for him.

Hoping Gilman has made the same kind of jump. We haven't seen anything so far to indicate that he hasn't.

Dean certainly is a factor in the Hodge race. Hopefully Thomas can keep pace. Of course, there are other worthy candidates out there, too -- Retherford and Nolf chief among them.

Gilman is gonna need to start winning matches by falls rather than techs to keep up with the other three mentioned, that is a rather large criteria in the selection.

Don't know if it is because I'm just getting too old or what. Watching these finals the most action was from 165 to 285. Hwt even had more action than 125 and 133. Mostly just hand fighting and defense. But maybe it is just old me:(

I stand corrected on Massa. Wow....we have another alpha sitting on the porch.

Team scores:
1. Ohio State 118.5
2, Wisconsin 113.5 (Jordan losing in finals hurt could have been 4 more points but still not enough)
3. VT, 103.0
4. Minnesota 100.0
5. Cornell 93.5

Iowa State 12th....49.0

The Hwt match was entertaining for hwt's. Massa made 165 the most entertaining final, he has always been pretty fun to watch. Micic didn't seem to open up much, he had a solid game plan but didn't make for a very exciting match.

I enjoyed seeing some quality wrestling after watching the dual Friday night. Looking forward to Midlands.

If you are driving .........please don't use the same GPS System AFHawk used several years ago.

Dead end streets in the WRONG part of town.

Yeah, will be driving. Been there before. Was worried when I had to stop for gas late at night in that part of town. Hopefully, I will make better decisions this time.

We've been "blessed" with some of the best-ever HWT's these past few years. No longer is it just two big guys hand fighting, taking the occasional half shot and the match decided by who can ride for a minute.

We are as tough top to bottom as any team in the country. Gilman, Clark, Sorensen, Kemerer, Meyer, Brooks, Stoll are all tough as hell SOBs. If we lose it will be because we aren't talented enough
If you're watching PSU v Lehigh right now you'll see the gap I'm talking about.

put stoll and clark in the lineup iowa wins 9 of 10 matches against Lehigh, yea big gap.
