Maybe we need to have a jelly/swag/Gway family cookout, where swag brings the lady! The rest of us will judge her and then give our seal of approval/disapproval. Damn, we're getting things done up in here.

roger that. My parents still live there, and know the owner of the OP as well. Thought maybe you might have crossed paths. My parents go to the OP on Sundays.(I don't know why....I guess you gotta have a hobby in retirement...plus they know the whole damn town.)
My hometown as well. Graduated in 02. Was never a huge fan of Rookies either. Seemed like a high volume of Ed Hardy/Tap Out wearing guys most times I stopped in. They have Laketime brewery there now, but I always felt a bar that had some craft options would do great there. Surprised nobody has tried it.
I should have clarified...I know the owner of the CF OP. There are some fun places to go in CL when the weather is nice, there are just so many other things I would rather do than putz around on a pontoon and get drunk anchored by Farmer's Beach.

Since this thread has taken off I'll ask for some advice as well. I'm moving to clear Lake in a few months going to live a few blocks from the surf. Any tips on things to do during nice weather in clear Lake would be appreciated. I already own a jetski so water sports are the obvious things I will be doing.

Sure you could. "Sharp Dressed Man" is the theme for "Duck Dynasty," which I assume you watch regularly. And I was going to make a joke about the gun comment, but decided it wasn't a good idea.
The smartass in me says put jet ski in water and begin driving....however...
There are some nice places on the water to sit and have a drink. I like the Landing and PM Park. The Musky is on the Ventura side and has good food. The OP is not on the water but is a nice sports bar. Pretty good bar food too. Starboard is a great place for lunch. Highly recommend.
The lake gets super busy when it is nice, so if you are fishing you will want to do that early in the morning or in the offseason. There are weed beds in and around "the small lake" that people troll for musky. There are big walleye in that lake too as well as catfish, crappie, and zillions of yellow bass.
I know Farmer's Beach is a popular hangout spot where people tie up or anchor and party. Also, Paul Rhodes has a place on a point in CL so don't be afraid to collect dog crap until you move and lob it on his front lawn.

I would ALMOST rather watch the Bachelor than that show...freaking horrible. They seem like a bunch of fake outdoorsmen outside of the old dude.
