Climate Change....who cares?

..and USDA indicates that we're probably already heading toward the 'downward side' of the growth efficiency for corn and soybeans:

Just so you are aware: the 2°C 'target limit' for human-cause climate change equates to almost 4°F, which is the units these graphs are listed in. That's presuming the Midwest will incur only 'average' warming relative to the rest of the globe.
Didn't happen this year, or last year. It actually moved upwards. Are you sure this isn't just some hyperbolic nonsense?

Congrats, its never too late to get your degree. Is this because the baby momma is still attacking you in court?
Kenneth, I don't really remember speaking about the baby momma before. I probably did at one time, but by crickey, I can't accurately recall this. Do we know each other? Do you like Mexican food as much as I do? Tell me about your bench press, is it above your walking weight?

So the climate is changing....who really cares? More open land, more places to inhabit and grow crops, etc.
I'm sorry, but if the climate brigade is so worried about it, then do something about it.
Or you can just keep spending BILLIONS on research to once again prove something that has already supposedly been proven.

You know why no one takes you seriously climate clowns? Because all you do is whine about it and pick fights with skeptics.

Where's your solutions? Where are your efforts to help stop it?

Seriously, is finding ways to argue about it to people helping anything? Are you doing anything that proves you take your own claims seriously?
If you had children, you should care. But a bigger problem is pollution, which is the cause for 3 million deaths last year and billions of dollars in health related illnesses. Of course in my opinion, overpopulation is the biggest problem the earth has to face.

so the globalists' solution is to kill off humans, of course they want you to have that opinion, so it justifies them murdering everyone

Time to go all Interstellar then? I'm down for that.

be really honest liberals, how many of these creepy freak things do you actually think are good???

I don't know any scientific data about climate change, but how about we as a world start working on less pollution rather than worry about all the little things that might matter down the road but are overshadowed by all the stupid things we are doing. Example: we worry about putting up solar panels and windmills for energy to be "green" but in the process we dump all our trash in our water, backyards, cut down trees and destroy the natural habitat creating "green energy".

Maybe we start living like we have a finite amount of resources. We do not have an infinite amount of land, clean water, or food. The goal should not be to build as big of cities as we can with as many people as we can. This exhausts all of our resources and takes a toll on the environment. Lets try to clean up what we have, create jobs for everyone we have, make food for everyone we already have, and then if the world is still "healthy" then we can work on expanding and growing.

The problem with our society is that we measure success through growth. Growth does not mean anything if it takes a bigger toll on the people and the environment. but it will get you re-elected for office. In the process we pollute everything around us and create "climate change"

You make too much sense. You should not be posting here!;)

You have spoken about her a few times, recently even when you talked about moving back to ankeny. no we dont know each other but i do love mexican food.

I moved back to the DSM area actually. Ankeny came into question, because that is where lil' prime was attending school. He has since changed districts so he can be closer to where we all live. Mexican food is the devil and I love her.

As if anyone is saying we shouldn't be working against pollution. Us climate skeptics like to play outdoors also.
Most of what man is contributing to(I don't say it's causing it all) climate problems, cause pollution. If you are working to control pollution, you will also be working to eliminate the part of climate problems we can.

Maybe in your mind, but an intelligent person would disagree.
Unfortunately there is some truth to this. The globalists do see that population and controlling it, is not just an issue, but an absolute must.

Don't underestimate what money and power does to a person. The truly powerful do not view life, like you or I do. They see the bigger picture, and aren't afraid to sacrifice for the greater portion of what they want.

Well, I definitely pick up my trash, and I try not dirty the environment. I'm all about growing plants as well.

We do have the technology to suck the CO2 out of the air...

LOl...ummm...yeah...link?

The cost to build something that would actually affect the % of CO2 in the atmosphere would be astronomical. Meanwhile, we just keep pouring more CO2 in? You're trying to bail your canoe with a teaspoon while dozens of people are dumping buckets of water in around you. Good luck.

Are these serious questions? How many people recycled 20 years ago compared to today? Aren't solar panels and wind farms efforts to help stop it? Energy efficient appliances, hybrid/electric cars, aren't these trying to help?

I honestly can't tell if that was a troll post or not.
Has the climate gotten better since recycling, wind farms, etc - all reports (that are posted here) keep trending that it hasn't.

It's not going to get "better", Not in your lifetime nor in the lifetime of your children nor THEIR children. The CO2 that's in the atmosphere right now will continue to warm the planet. Feedbacks like less Arctic ice and thawing permafrost will warm it even more. We're headed toward a new equilibrium between energy in and energy out on a planetary scale and the only thing we can do now is decide how long it takes to reach that equilibrium.

All I know is if the sea level raises by about 20 feet, I'm going to have mountain property within an hour of the beach, and I'll never have to deal with DC traffic again.

Interesting. Thanks.

Decide how long it takes? So we're deciding how mother nature conducts her schedule now? By decide, do you mean predict? Should have happened by now, and there are billions of reasons why.

DC being under water......that's worth burning some trash tonight alone.

You should really stop breathing. That 400ppm CO2 is mucking you up something fierce. You must be extra sensitive.

Edit - I only suggest it because I care.
I'm expected to live to be around 80 at least. I'm not concerned about this CO2 you speak of.

Politico has published an article co-authored by the new head of one section of the IPCC report that says, "The urgent need to act cannot be overstated. Climate change caused by humans is already affecting our lives and livelihoods — with extreme storms, unusual floods and droughts, intense heat waves, rising seas and many changes in biological systems — as climate scientists have projected."

I am unaware of those impacts and hope someone can point me to stories about them. The comment about extreme storms, unusual floods and droughts is not true. As Roger Pielke has documented on his website repeatedly, there have been bigger insurance claims due to those phenomena over the past century, but that's because the structures built there are more valuable and people persist in building and rebuilding in areas threatened by storm or flood for millenia.
It's just not true.

*sigh* Some people just refuse to be helped. Don't worry. Given your posts, I suspect the end is nigh.
I doubt that, I was born with the stay youthful gene. Sorry, but I'm not going to just outlive you, but I'm going to outlive all the loudest critics of climate change on here.
