Clones colors

no one likes the ketchup and mustard look
It's worked fairly well for USC over the years.

ISU has worn these B&W unis several times over the last couple of years. It makes no sense to me. Everybody else associated with the program--cheerleaders, band, dance squad, mascot--wear the actual school colors. The end zone today is done in red and gold. One thing is not like the others. Most organizations want to establish a brand identity, which is what school colors are all about. It seems like the football team should wear the school colors, or else convince everyone else to change the school colors to black and white. Overall, it's pretty silly.

I don't understand why the Clones uniforms are black and white when the school colors are red and gold. Can someone explain that to me.
Only guesstimate I have is that Campbell is trying to troll Iowa fans? Iowa truly has black as one of its school colors, plays Back in Black intro, etc. The cyclown’s athletic department is just weird.

We've gone from ...

A. Wearing a standard uniform in school colors
B. Occasionally wearing an alternative uniform, usually adding gray or a different shade of your school colors.
C. Usually wearing alternative uniforms - a lot of black involved.
D. Wear whatever you want anytime you want.

Kinda crazy

p,s. I thought ISU's black & white unis were ugly.

The primary color for my sons high school is Blue, white secondary; their home uniform: Black jersey with black pants. It annoys the crap out of me.

The white/black isu unis are ok…for once a season, and definitely not your bowl game. It seems like an odd marketing strategy to not wear your primary colors in a game that is likely your most viewd all season.

I'm not tech savvy enough to post a link, but I've read where ISU's original colors were Black, silver, and gold to represent three of the schools colleges at the time. Changed to cardinal + gold some time later.

I don't mind the black + white look. I wish they would stick with one color scheme, and have the occasional alternate uniform - but understand why they are expanding the look. Sadly, it's about marketing + $$$ which is working based upon the increasing # of black ISU hats, t-shirts, and sweatshirts (with Ames on it) here in CR.

Will try to post a link to that info.

Finally able to post a link with some background on the original ISU colors.

I've always thought the Black + White looked Black + Silver. Not 100% sure. If they are trying to connect back to the original colors, where is the gold?

Whatever the case, I don't dislike the B+W look from time to time, but would like to see Cardinal + Gold 11x per year.

“We”? You’re a clown fan. Black and white is badass? 😳
just getting them ready for the future
