Clowns vs OU

So that is better than the 7th place team punking the Texas Ten leader? Only clown fan would argue that.

Seems pretty comparable to me. Plus West Virginia is the Texas Ten leader since they have the tiebreaker over Kansas

Oh so now all that matters is comparable. Hey if we keep changing the criteria maybe clown fans will eventually get it right.

More please. We won't laugh really.

I don't see how the 6th best team in the Texas Ten beating the top team in the Big 10 being any different than the 7th best team in the Big 10 beating the 2nd best team in the Texas Ten

I think it is great clown fans are back to wetting themselves again. More fun when UAB or this years equivalent takes them down once again.

The little bro syndrome runs deep. Is there a class at isu that is required before you all can graduate? We all know that all clown fans are grads so there must be some kind of class where this is taught right?.

Actually it is clown fan that is discrediting Iowa for beating a #1 team. In fact had Iowa not beaten MSU isu wouldn't have had the opportunity to beat #1 last night.

Oh right must ignore that because clown fan can't grasp the obvious.
Here's what's obvious: Clown thread is the most popular thread on the Iowa board.

Mostly because of you.

Thanks for playing.

We all knew it was just a matter of time before isu grad crawled from under their rocks.

Thanks for proving our point.

More little bro syndrome please.

Wait what about the 10 plus page thread on cry-clown fanatic for the Iowa-MSU game? Can isu grad get this thread to that level?

Of course they can. The little bro syndrome runs so deep. Just watch they will prove me right. They always to.

The ISU threads on this board crack me up. Iowa's having one of its most successful seasons in decades, yet the most popular thread is an attempt to discredit the clowns for beating the #1 team in the country. lol

Its like that not-so-pretty girl who hates the best looking girl in school simply because she's hot.

so funny.

I know, I know... I should have the sense to just let this go.

Let's dispel this illogical notion that there is some one way street here (unless it is going entirely in the other direction from where you think it to be). This is a Hawkeye message board and Iowa fans are and should be able to discuss whatever matter/issue they deem worthy. If that happens to occasionally include isu, so what? There is absolutely zero reason for any isu fan to be concerned by that in the majority of instances.

Most popular thread? For what.... a very brief period of time at best? There have been and will again be in the future, threads involving Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan State and several other schools fans here on HR. That is a distinction that many isu fans seem incapable of grasping and understandably so - even with the success that the basketball school from Ames has garnered lately, there is not another school/team that is a bigger obsession of the loyal isu faithful than is Iowa.

Boil it down for yourself. The screen I am reading says you have over 1,000 posts to your credit. How many of those are right here on HR? Yet you want to call out others for discussing 'your' team on 'their' forum. Get a clue.

Really take a close look sometime and tell me/us which fan base spends the most time here on HR as opposed to its own site. Do you see the frequency and regularity of Iowa fans on CR? Of course not. CF? I truly do not know because early on I determined that it was nothing more than a largely unregulated cesspool for wayward fans to vent. Still, I am willing to guess that a) there are fewer Iowa fans posting on that site compared to the numbers of posts/threads from the roster of isu fans on here and b) the 'most popular' award that you are so eager to dole out here could be applied there very often.

Ends up that you are a classic example of the very thing you think you are ridiculing. The adage goes something like... don't pee on my porch and then try to convince me it is raining.

Didn't the 6th place team in the Texas Ten beat the 1st place team in the Big 10?

Is this another example of your "unbiased" posts here on HR?

Recall for us the rating of that '6th place team' at the time they played the '1st place team' in Ames in December. Am I correct to state that the '6th place team' was very highly ranked at the time? Some over enthusiastic fans were even predicting a Final Four performance for that team. Meanwhile, the '1st place team' you refer to here was nowhere to be found in the rankings at the beginning of the season and was said to be not very good by several of those same posters predicting such lofty accomplishments for isu.

Now, only a few weeks removed from the game in Ames, Iowa is higher rated, has played a more challenging schedule, has performed better against its better opponents and has stolen some of that limelight that was destined to be all isu's.

Just like in our discussion from earlier today, you have very little of nothing to base your statement on because your bias clouds your common sense.

isu grad will have no answer for this post. Brent with Blummers is sure isu is a final four team. Must stay away from the UAB's of the world though.

I think it's pretty obvious who's the better league top to bottom. That's the only thing I said I wasn't being biased about

You haven't had a single team make it past the sweet sixteen for three years, that's mid major shit. I won't give the B12 the benefit of the doubt until they have even a tiny bit of tournament success.

Must ignore how bad the Texas Ten has been in the Tournament, isu grads demand it for their argument to be relevant.

From what I can tell, Iowa State doesn’t run an offense. One guy dribbles and 4 guys stand around waiting for the ball. No one screens, no one cuts, no one does anything but wheir number of made baskets. The game against Oklahoma was an exception to that. Teams don't play the same style every game partly depending on how the defense plays against you. atch the ball handler try to beat his guy.
Like most teams it depends on the game and the opponent. ISU normally does a lot of screens and cutting and has a very high assist rate, last night was an exception.

Lol. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for my post to sting so bad. I just think it's funny how much attention the clowns get despite the high level of success the hawks achieved this year. That's all.

When Iowa isn't playing a night, there are usually several threads about other top games around the country. If you don't like it, leave. It's pretty simple when you're not obsessed with everything Iowa.

Isu grads are always reasonable, just go read cry-clown fanatic. No little bro syndrome either.

No, we come to the rivals' Iowa mssg board to correct you on statements that are false, and to also let you know that ISU is the only team from the state to beat the #1 team that was playing with a full squad and not missing their star player.

Exactly what I said...looking for validation.

Looks can be deceiving... from where I sit, the difference is not that significant until one gets to the very bottom. Comparing ten teams to ten teams (because that is all the big xii can get) 'looks' to slightly favor the Big Ten.
These numbers will all be moot tomorrow as they will not only change for the teams who played Tuesday but for teams who did not play because of those teams numbers changing.

Unlike last year when Iowa had more games against the bottom teams in the Big 10 the five teams they play twice this season are in the upper part and they are winning, kudos to them. I do think a fair way to compare with those Ken Pom rankings is to use the number for each team you play for example Iowa and take it times two if you play that team twice. For example in the Big 10 they only play 5 teams twice. In the 18 Big 10 games that Iowa faces even with playing 4 teams with a 10 to 30 ranking times 2 + Penn State with a 134 ranking x two times played and with only playing the worst teams in the conference one the total of their schedule is at this point in time 1335. In the big XII it was very easy to figure. Just right down the number beside each team and take it times two as they play each team twice. The Big XII likewise plays 18 conference games but the Ken Pom rankings listed earlier in this thread has Iowa State's schedule at only 810 meaning they have to play more higher ranked conference games than does Iowa.

If isu played a tougher schedule Ken Pom would reflect that. Too bad that isn't the case. Further more if isu was better than Iowa Ken Pom, Sagarin, RPI, AP and Coaches Rankings would also reflect that.

Yet all isu grads have right now is their Super Bowl win.

Texas goes on the Road into MorganTown and beats #6 WVU?? What is up with the Big 10/Big12 this year? Teams knocking each other off. The Big 12 winner could have 4-5 losses in conference possibly, WOW!

Big 10 ain't much better, Nebbie getting hot beating Sparty @ MSU by 1.

I hate to say it, but this could be the best NCAA ever. There is not one "dominate" team and its looking like the year of upsets. This is fun to watch, every night there is a close/crazy game on TV. Loving it!

I agree, I hope both Iowa and ISU fans and players stay humble going into the tournament. I think there'll be a bunch of upsets and hopefully neither of our schools get stung. I've yet to see a team so dominant that they're immune to being upset.

It pisses me off, that you state you're an Iowa grad. I have friends and family that graduated from there and respect the institution. You communicate very clearly through your posts that you lack the intellect to pull a Kirkwood degree, let alone UI.
