Joe Morehead leaves his OC job at Penn State to be the Mississippi State head coach

Arizona State is interviewing Herm Edwards to be their next head coach

Mike Gundy says thanks but no thanks to Tennessee. I'll be curious to see who they are gonna get. Probably not someone very good. That place is toxic right now

Tennessee is going to pay big time for an average coach. Nobody will want that job after what they did to Greg schanio. Who I think is a better coach then gurden who they want.

Moorhead is going to Mississippi State.

TN will probably hire a SEC coordinator.

Gundy tweets "Cowboy for life!" after interviewing at Tennessee for second time in 5 years.

I still think AZSt takes Sumlin and then Tenn takes Brohm. Unfortunate for Purdue.

I heard on a podcast that Sumlin turned down the AzSU job when Graham was hired, and the same president from that process is still there. So, possibly a bad relationship there?

Brohm to TN makes sense. He was a great addition to the B1G, would be a loss for him to go to TN.

Why is Herm a candidate at all? He hasn’t coached in several years and I’m not aware of his collegiate experience.

Assistant at San Jose State for two seasons in the 80s, then the NFL for 20 years. Hasn't coached in nearly a decade. No idea why you'd be after him, especially at a party school. He never seems much fun. But, when you are demanding a minority candidate it really shrinks the list.

Herm is a well-known name thanks to TV and being a paid speaker who speaks to college teams. They fired a semi-successful coach in Graham, so apparently they are bringing in a name.

Geez, how much money must A&M be ponying up to sway Fisher?
$7.5 - 8 mil per. Jimbo wants autonomy on how money is spent inside the football program and FSU said no. FSU called Fisher's annual "I'm leaving if I don't get more" b.s. he's pulled nearly every year. Should be official by Thursday or Friday.

Oregon offered coach Willie Taggart a new deal last weekend with the hope that he’ll stay in Eugene even if a coveted job in his home state opens this weekend, SI.com has learned. If Taggart accepts, the new deal would pay a little more than $20 million over five years. But Taggart has reason to wait. If Jimbo Fisher leaves Florida State for Texas A&M, Taggart could be a candidate for the Seminoles’ job.

Herm Edwards. Jon Gruden. JFC. Why do some people think you can be an average coach in the NFL, sound smart on TV for a few years, then suddenly be a great college coach?

I continue to be surprised that no one is giving the NDSU had coach (Kliman?) a shot. He is a proven winner.

I would be shocked if a major FBS school offers a job to Klieman. They are different worlds.

I wouldn't be shocked to see a G5 school offer him a job first. Similar to how any industry works, you work your way up the ladder, you generally don't skip rungs.
