Thank goodness there’s no such thing as outdoor football games in December and January in cold weather cities, especially with people drinking.Newsflash: people suffer from hypothermia and frostbite in cold weather. Especially those who have been drinking.
Are you by nature a pussy, or must you make a conscious effort?Newsflash: people suffer from hypothermia and frostbite in cold weather. Especially those who have been drinking.
I recall it was Dannon Hughes that made the angel in the endzone. 91 or 92?1991?
92 would have been at MN as we odd/even; home/away.I recall it was Dannon Hughes that made the angel in the endzone. 91 or 92?
Danan Hughes made the snow angels in the end zone in the game against Minnesota in 1991. It was my freshman year at Iowa and of course I was there.I recall it was Dannon Hughes that made the angel in the endzone. 91 or 92?
Wow, I remember that-what year??

Kirk would have benched him after the first snow angel.
Unless your a dumb ass like some Chiefs fans. Game last year had 30 below wind chills and people running around with a lot of unprotected skin. I believe that had around 75 "emergency " calls at the stadium for frost bite and a few folks who later ended up losing fingers or toes. Man is a stupid animal..Dangerous?
Every NFL team plays night games in December. The body count is pretty low.

For sure. There may be a few exceptions but the stories I heard were that the people that got into trouble had enough alcohol in their system that they didn’t feel the cold until it was too late. People that were responsible and actually dressed for the conditions were fine.Unless your a dumb ass like some Chiefs fans. smart move with not wearing all of your clothes to avoid sweating I plan on doing that on my walk to the stadiumFor sure. The one thing I’m a little worried about is sweating on the way to the stadium so I may carry my outer layer and not put it on until I’m at the gate.
I dont have anything against farmers, one of my grandfathers farmed. Just kidding around. What is your problem with farmers? One of them catch you porking one of their pigs?
This is my first Nebraska Iowa game. I used to always come back to visit family over thanksgiving and come in the Friday before, go to the game Saturday if the finale was at home, and stay around for the week. I always envied the Bama Auburn fans who got to go to that game Thanksgiving weekend. Same with UT/TAMU, Nebraska and Colorado. The Big Ten scheduling was idiotic and the layoffs were horrible for the programs. My bro and I are taking our boys to their first game in Iowa City. They’re looking forward to bundling up and battling the weather and sitting behind the Nebraska bench listening to the drunken fans berating the bench. Some good clean family fun.
Friday's high is projected to be 24 with it dropping to 15 at night.
Winds are supposed to be around 15 mph.
The game kicks off at 6:30 pm CT on NBC and will be over around 10:00 pm CT
I work outside construction and had my best cold weather gear on and was cold for that game.it will always be the game vs purdue where shonn greene trucked that DB & ran for another 10 yards
Hope we get overtime!Weather at 6:00 pm: 22 degrees, 8 mph wind, Feels like temp of 13 degrees.
Weather at 10:00 pm: 18 degrees, 7 mph wind, Feels like temp of 9 degrees.

2014 Nebraska was cold.I froze my ass off November 28th 2014 kinnick for Iowa, Nebraska. And then the very next year in Lincoln.I froze my ass off after a big ice storm the day before! We had to bang ice off the bleachers sat in section 600 nose bleeds brutal wind and cold
Kinnick will be 1/2 red as usual. Husker fans do not care about the weather, they show any even when team sucks like this one. It was really cold a decade or so back and more than half was red.
JFC. Kinnick has never been “1/2 red.” Don’t be stupid.Kinnick will be 1/2 red as usual. Husker fans do not care about the weather, they show any even when team sucks like this one. It was really cold a decade or so back and more than half was red.

According to the Gazette, it looks like this will be the second coldest game ever at Kinnick
Hopefully this holds true! Keeping my attendance at the coldest game on record intact!
Let us know how things went. Hopefully everybody stayed warmThis is my first Nebraska Iowa game. I was at 2010 and 2011 Minnesota games. Both shit shows. Not that I recall, but maybe?
Coker had a million yards, kicked the shit out of Minnesota, and lost. It was embarrassing. Pretty sure Minnesota recovered an onside.
The conditions that caused a frozen field were in the daytime for that game.
Also, I was at the 2013 Iowa v Michigan. It was extremely cold, and I was extremely fine, but I dressed like I was going out the Yukon.
I have felt like I was going to die at a few games in September.
We had plenty of gear and warming stuff, didn’t get cold at all. Tailgated 1-530 at Myrtle and walked over. Tailgate scene was a joke, because for all their bluster and tough guy act, most Iowans are soft as baby shit and scared of the weather just like the rest of the country is.Let us know how things went. Hopefully everybody stayed warm
