Strong work by the judge. She'll likely get day-for-day credit (i.e. only have to serve ~4.5 years), and expect some appeals, but this sentence is definitely the "find out" portion of her efforts.
Should definitely be an eye opener for some of the expected shady shit next month.

Peters was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failing to comply with the secretary of state.

I love the end of the video where her lawyer informs the judge “we file a Motion to Stay Pending Appeal” and the Judge states simply “I already denied that.” Wasn’t her rock star legal team listening to the judge’s ruling?
