COMMIT: Iowa lands 2026 Three-Star QB, Cash Herrera

If there’s one thing that has been proven over time. No good players come out of California, and especially not QBs. It never has happened, and it never will happen.

Iowa needs to focus on the fertile recruiting grounds of Wyoming if they ever want to compete in the B1G.
Hopefully you were trying to be sarcastic because Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Jared Goff, and Jordan Love (to start with) say hello.

Now all we need is for Kirk to retire.
1/2 the success of this program is built on kirk and his relationship with his players. You don't get people to stick around for 4-6 years and develop NFL talent from 3* and below any other way.
Those relationships have not changed.
Find a former player willing to speak ill of kirk. you'll likely find 1 for every 20 for most coaches.

Nope. 100% serious. All of those guys are from Guam, so I’m still correct.

California, much like Texas and Florida will have their first good football prospect the next time they have a good prospect will be the first time.

Don’t hold your breath!!!!!

The amount of people who can't recognize obvious sarcasm makes me lose hope in humanity

If you’ve been watching the games this season, you know damn well Cade is no longer a good quarterback. He’s easily below average.

You’d think our success in the run game would yield at least a sliver of success in the pass game but no, not Iowa.
If you've been watching the games this year, you'd know that Cade is an improvement over last years turnover machine. Not even close.

Then become better at the delivery and it will be recognized and with the level of football stupidity with some on this Board, you just never know.
You weren’t sure if somebody that said “no football talent ever has or ever will come out of California, and Wyoming is where it actually comes from” was serious.

Then you claimed that if the sarcasm were delivered a little better, you might be able to smoke it out?

Yes. You’re correct. It’s not you.

Just once, I would like to see "dual threat" instead of "pro-style."

That's a good start. Last few years it's been , Butler, Graceland, Fargo Tech, Emory Riddel and Michigan directional.
The 2025 QB commit has offers Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan State, but probably some of those schools too!!!!

The 2024 commit had offers from Indiana, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Wake Forest.

He’s not the brightest.

I fully understand Kirk is a great guy..a guy that builds good relationships with players, player’s families, and coaches.

But that has only gotten us so far. His philosophy is outdated. His conservative nature doesn’t equate to much more than “we’ve beaten Nebraska 7 of the last 8.”

We have started the process of not even being competitive with the upper tier of just this conference alone.

best thing they said was he is very accurate and a rising star so we got in earlty. Montana and Brees both have said accuracy should be the number one trait you look for ina QB.
For some reason we have been going after arm strength first then work from there. Present QB not included of course.......
