An associate athletic director at the University of Minnesota is on leave pending an investigation into five complaints against him in the wake of Athletic Director Norwood Teague’s resignation.
The U confirmed Wednesday that Teague’s hand-picked assistant, Mike Ellis, has “voluntarily” agreed to take leave from his job as outside lawyers the U hired to investigate sexual harassment and discrimination issues — “or other appropriate authority” — look into five anonymous complaints against Ellis received since Teague resigned Aug. 7.
