Don't worry kool-aid club, this isn't a bash session.

Just curious who thinks either of these guys will make 1st Team All-Conference next year?

Depends on the team finishes.

I don't ever see Bohannon on the 1st team. Too many limitations and lots of great pg play in the conference.

Cook could be a 1st team guy if Iowa finishes in the top 3.

I think Garza is actually a potential 1st team candidate if he stays consistent. He went into a lull midway through conference play this year.

Even if Cook is back, I still see Wieskamp or Garza as much higher possibilities to be 1st Team.

Bohannon I don’t think will ever consistently put up the numbers needed to be 1st Team.

Only if Cook becomes a terror on the boards. Iowa plays too much team ball, with different guys leading for points on different nights, to do it with scoring alone imo. Wieskamp will take on a bigger role but still likely defer to the upperclassmen which would limit his upside for next year. Garza, same as Cook. Needs to have the rebounding numbers

The only way JBo makes first team is if he averages 16 or more points per game next year which I think is entirely possible. Cutting down on turnovers and increasing assists average would help as well.

Cook just needs to settle down and play with more poise and confidence. He has a slightly better chance of making first team but improvement is still needed.

Cook 1st team........if he returns. Bohannon and Joe 2nd team. Garza 3rd team. 3rd place finish in the B1G. But, more importantly, we will be cutting down the nets in Atlanta :D

I'm guessing Nick Ward was penalized for being hurt this year, because he was way too good to be a 3rd teamer. Caleb Wesson will be right there too for first team if he keeps his head on straight, OSU won't beat out Michigan and MSU next year but I'd be surprised if they aren't top 5 in the conference.

Team balance hurts first team odds. A guy like Lamar Stevens had poor efficiency numbers, padded stats on an uneven team, and made the first team.

If Iowa has a good year next year, they’ll be like Michigan with players spread out across the 2nd and 3rd team.

If Fran could figure out how to get Bohannon off the ball so one of the best shooters in the big ten can actually get decent looks I think he could be a potential 2nd team. Tough spot because of how many dynamic guards there are. Same with Cook to an extent. Get a PG who throws up some lobs and create some dishes for Cook to flush and I think 2nd team is a possibility. Cook at times was unstoppable but teams started doubling and his lack of anything resembling a mid range game was exposed.
