I'm somewhat surprised he didn't end up with a coordinator's position somewhere. Wasn't he the OC at Auburn before coming home to ISU? Oh well.
Well...he's always been a DB coach....now it's just officially part of his title.

Kind of expected Rhoads to take a head coaching job at the division 2 level. With his buyout he could afford to wait on a position coach's job. Maybe he screwed up so much at ISU that he figured he will never get a head coaching job anywhere.
I'm sure he was just dying to finally get out of that shihole he's spent so much of his life in. Probably wants to retire down south and would be happy to never step foot in the state again.
With assistant salaries so high at SEC schools, I wonder if financially this isn't far off what he would have gotten at a lower level d-coordinator position.
