Flo is reading this (just like they read this forum to create articles), were is their comment?
Serious? It is FLo's problem. Not my provider. Why would they comment on something that most likely they have nothing to do with? Although they occasionally have streaming issues, most of the time people are complaining it probably has nothing to do with FLO.
I watched via my FLO app on Roku last night and had less reloads than I have had with my ESPN app watching the NFL draft. Does FLO somehow magically pipe their stream faster and more continuously to me????
Issues with choppiness and occasionally interruptions most likely fall at the feet of your ISP, no matter what the delivery speed they claim.
Highly recommended - when you are experiencing choppiness, change the resolution (HD button in the lower right corner) to a fixed resolution - the lower the resolution the less interruptions in your stream.
The semis were on Mat 5 and Mat 7 last night. They worked fine. The other mats did not work - is that what you are complaining about? When certain Mat streams do not work, it is not the service provider.
This isnt Flo wrestlings website. You can always try to contact them directly. Can a FLO rep come on here and explain why they have a cut out service?
The wonderful world of technology. Flocasts says it's not their fault and so does the households internet provider.
Now what do you do.......
Does Dan Gable have internet at his farm?
I for one appreciate your candor Willie. I would assume that Flo's IT dept has server availability to meet a theoretical peak demand plus a safety factor, so these server issues are disconcerting. Even if you do have availability and it was simply a server going down, system redundancy should be there to bring a new server back up. Maybe that is what happened? On my flight back home.
just able to check in to the boards now.
apologies to those who experienced problems. our internal numbers/report show 14% failure rate last night for about 7 minutes. it hovered around 4% there after. of course - no % of failure is acceptable. and, of course, i can't speak intelligently on tech problems (i'm a wrestling writer, not an IT/infrastructure guy) so i won't pretend to.
all i know is that for those 14% whose streams were down, it was a server issue (at the peak).
for those whose streams were choppy, as Dice said above, changing the resolution settings almost always does the trick.
just to note - i'm not answering here to make excuses. i know it's frustrating. frustrating for us too. we're always trying to get better.
and i know some of you will rip me for the answer above, but i didn't want to ignore the thread. so...let 'er rip.

Or are you complaining about one of the 18 or 24 or 16 (whatever the event is) mat streams going down occasionally??? I run a large tournament that is streamed, and managing our technology is one of my duties - come to think of it we've never had one of our 15 computers go to sleep, somebody inadvertently pull out a plug, ethernet cable or bang into a camera - EVER.![]()
I wish I could get to the crappy streams. 2 months ago the web page to sign in stopped working. I've written to them 8 times with no results. All I get is questions from a bunch of whack-a-doodles. I answer the questions but they have no problem tracking system so my answers go to a different person every time. How their entire site does not collapse is a mystery.
Was anyone else getting the random rewind thing on Mat 5 during the finals? Whenever I would put Mat 5 on it would repeatedly go to previous matches. When I would slide the bar to the right to force it to live action again it would just go back to a previous match after 30 seconds.
