That is 100% perception vs reality. He took something that was in no way meant to be political and turned it into something it wasn’t. Turning TDS into a different TDS as a fricking joke was the exact opposite of being political…

In el dub's defense, I don't think I would've connected "TDS = Trump something something" at all had you not explicitly posted the name. The post keeps the exact same funny meaning/context even without including the word Trump in it

@MSU158 - Probably a reference to TDS is seen as discounting any possibility of rational thought on behalf of those who stand in opposition to the "T." People seem to get upset when their prevously expressed rationale is ignored in favor of painting it over with a derogatory broad brush, such as an uncontrollable emotional reaction.

I actually debated not even using his name, but, for many, the context, scope and any humor almost certainly would be lost.
To be clear, it is 100% possible to be in no way political and actually use a politician’s name or even an ongoing joke associated with one. Equating a nationwide joke to one guy’s opinion of an Iowa wrestling coach is pretty much the entire point…
