What a doosh. The guy was basically asking if he thinks it's comparable east teams going west as it is west teams going east. The way I took it was the reporter teeing it up for the coach to go off, which he essentially did. No clue why the coach was such a d*ck to the guy, he wasn't at all asking the coach to feel sorry for east teams heading west.
And while I'm not saying he doesn't have a point, the coach needs to realize the B1G basically saved their asses because they could be playing in a soon to be sunk ACC right now instead of in the B1G making gobs more $$$.

And who knows? Maybe they adjust for the disparities in scheduling next season. This is the inaugural year of expansion. I'm sure that some changes will happen going forward. But, he's still a dick.

The things these institutions purport to value, that being their fellow man and the environment took a back seat to $$$$.
Considerations on the impact of the people involved (extensive travel, impact on schooling, family and friends largely unable to attend) be damned.
Considerations on the impact of the environment (long flights and carbon footprint) be damned.
The next time a university administrator or professor tries to tell you that their institutions are leading the way for humanity, remind them of this.

These are professional athletes at this point. I did like the old system, its gone. There is good marketing in having a B1G that strings from West Coast population centers, over population Dense Midwest, and to East Coast. The number of eyeballs makes B1G the premier league for TV money. NIL will be based on percent of revenues. The Entire NIL for B1G should be elevated, which means more competitive product, which means more eyeballs. Positive feedback. Of course Oregon, OSU likely will dominate because they also have Billionaires supporting them.
As far as Travel, Iowa ought to be in the sweet spot sitting closer to the Middle of the USA, but apparently we're not very good at going WEST or leaving Carver at all.
