I thought the crowd was excellent. Ed Podolak commented after the game that it was a tremendous environment.

It might of just been how it was sounding on TV

The guy near me in Kinnick was sure loud. Just down in the mouth the whole game - F this, F that, what are those dumb bastards thinking, F Ferentz, F Greg Davis - on and on and on. I don't think he enjoyed the game at all. Why even go? Funny thing was he left in the 4th quarter so he didn't even get to enjoy the win after Iowa put it away on the last field goal.

Avoid this guy at all costs. Section 136 - row 21 seat 38.

It wasn't the most exciting game, which is where most of the volume comes into play a large part of the time. Combine that with lengthy TV timeouts and it really lets the air out of people.

This. The game was eerily similar to Iowa's 2014 games. Just not much excitement throughout. Frustrating at times even.

I was there and the atmosphere was pretty much the same as every Illinois game I've ever attended. It got loud when needed but wasn't electric by any means. Driving all the way inside the 5, twice, and coming up empty (I count a FG losing in that situation) kind of takes the wind out of people's sails.
