Speaking of bourbon…a funny story.
My bro in law is a semi professional historian, having written some excellent Gettysburg books, and made books snd documentaries on the history of Kentucky, where he lives, and bourbon. A great storyteller.
So a couple tears ago he got a call from the “moonshiners” people, who had seen his books on the Lincoln’s in Kentucky, and decided they want to make a show where they try to recreate the type of whiskey the Lincoln’s might have sold in their store. Long story short, he persuades them that the grain would have been sorghum, and they make it.
But the part that didn’t make the show was where the real redneck guy said they wanted to shoot a scene where the Lincoln actor drives up in the kind of truck he would have driven to haul the whiskey.
