He has called a good game tonight. I actually think he is trying to be positive towards iowa, probably to try and counter the negative crap that happened. So, good for him.
As I've said before, he was definitely out of line with the Woodbury thing, but generally I like him.

The Woodbury stuff was uncalled for and he got about 10 things wrong during an Iowa game, but I don't mind him and often agree with most things he says.

He is always positive towards Iowa, Iowa fans just start freaking out every time he mispronounces someone's name.
folks don't think that Dakich is a horrible announcer overall...it's just that his bad is REAL BAD.

Very positive about Hawks tonight. His job is to both describe and opine. Someone sufficiently interesting to be worthy of hearing will undoubtedly offer some dumb opinions from time to time.

I had to chuckle just a little when within seconds after the tip-off he mentioned calling White "Andrew"
Didn't like his all Big team when he left White off, he later said maybe A White could be on it as well. He has to be on it IMO...
If he doesn't make it personal, Dakich knows what he is talking about. He even basically said that his beloved Hosers don't deserve to be invited to the dance. They better beat MSU, which has also sucked most of the past month, or they be playing in the NIT.
I like that DD was taking IU to task for such a soft schedule, pointing out that 4 of their wins were against 300 level RPI teams. But I wish he'd asked, "How in the world is IU's RPI better than Iowa's!?" And then gone on to expose the RPI as the joke it is.

If Dakich had any class at all, he would have apologized for the outrageous and despicable things he said about Woodbury.
What DD did with Woodbury was wrong. I unfortunately think some of his distasteful comments about Woodbury came from his twitter clashes with Iowa fans about name pronunciation, on court teachings, ect.... I will say that due to his falling into the baiting from fans via twitter I lost any respect I had for him for the time being.
Tonight however.....no matter what you think of the guy he was spot on with about everything he said. My brother and I were watching the game together. He has a huge hatred of DD. My brother is a Michigan fan BTW which I think makes all of his hatred fun for me. As he is yelling for him to shut his mouth tonight I had to say "I'm sorry...but I agree with DD". He did a good job tonight. Bottom line.

A lot of good, accurate posts on this thread which is weird. Yes, Dakich is a jerkhole. Yes, he was out of line abut Woodbury. Yes, he should have apologized to Adam and Fran. Yes, he is right sometimes. And yes, he is a lot more pallatable when he's kissing our team's ass instead of taking personal potshots at them or questioning their integrity as people. But give me Gus Johnson any day of the week. Where has he been??
I watch soccer. I know shoot me. He has been on fox sports doing champions league coverage. I haven't really seen him any other time except during champions league. Most the soccer I see is on NBC sports though. I know when the world cup was going on he was pulled away from other sports to work on his soccer coverage. Not surprisingly he is great for soccer.
