Sounds like good news via Twitter. This kid looks to have the "it" factor. Going up vs doubles and looks to have some football speed. Lets hope he got those ###s up and will be ready to go in the fall. Looks to catch everything with his hands and can make people miss.

He also looks 150lbs. I don't see him playing this year. Hope he's as good as the HS Youtube videos suggest he is.
I'm pleasantly surprised, normally when you don't hear anything about a recruit for this long the outcome isn't good. Happy for the kid : )

Yeah, he's still committed. He's taking his OV during the spring game and hopefully make everything official then. His coach sounded pretty optimistic that everything would be ok and he would be at Iowa in fall. If not, his coach said the plan is for him to go to Milford Academy (prep school) for the 1st semester and then be at Iowa in January for 2nd semester.
The film I have seen of Darby is exciting. This kid is lightening in a bottle.
Maybe his lack of a test score and grades is why other schools were not more aggressive in recruiting him.
Hope he makes it to Iowa City. A red shirt year to focus on school and to get bigger would be great for this young man.

I believe Frank will be just fine after a red shirt year and weight and strength training with Doyle. This young man may very well end up being a "steal" for Iowa. Can't wait to watch him perform on the field.
