Need to see some stats on this fella.
Love the clips, very fluid player. Definitely agree it would be awesome to see some stats but there doesn’t seem to be much out there.
When will I learn that these types of videos usually have to be muted to avoid ruining the experience?
How long has he been at Brewster Academy?I think this is very recentNote that on You Tube, it says the video in the orig post is from 3 years ago (Apr 15, 2019).

Of Joe t, Ahron Ulis, and Tony Perkins, only Ulis is a decent 3 point shooter and he is a bit better than PMac according to the stats. Perkins is a great defender but a horrible shooter.Joe Toussaint 6'0" 195lbs Sr
Ahron Ulis 6'3" 185lbs Jr
Tony Perkins 6'4" 210lbs Jr
Dasonte Bowen 6'3" 180lbs Fr
Josh Dix 6'5" 195lbs Fr
That's gonna be a fun bunch of backcourt dudes that can defend!
Gonna need to see the 3 point shot become a threat or teams will pack in zone on us.
good news is our Forwards will all be good 3 pt shooters (Kris Murray / Payton Sandfort / PMac)

I see that....it was the most recent that was posted on their website....I can't find anything more recent.actually, that video was posted on March 20, 2021
Those appear to be pretty recent...
I found these from EYBL.Has anyone come across shooting percentages for Mr. Bowen?

that's not this season's high school stats; that appears to be from last summer
Yeah; but, if someone is to claim that PMac is a good 3 point shooter, then, Ulis cannot be said to be a poor 3 point shooter when his small stats are comparable and even a little bit better.I have no idea who the better 3 point shooter is between Ulis and PMac, it looks like a wash to me, but it’s pretty difficult to discern when Ulis has only put up 14 career 3s VS Pat’s 126.
They are both below averageYeah; but, if someone is to claim that PMac is a good 3 point shooter, then, Ulis cannot be said to be a poor 3 point shooter when his small stats are comparable and even a little bit better.
Mark the tape and make fun of me later but I fully expect Sandfort to be around 45% for his career.Sandfort needs to step up next season as a reliable outside shooter. We know he considers himself to be, and 36% is not bad, but I suspect he shot much better in HS.
Other than turnovers those look pretty good.I found these from EYBL.

PMac has been trending up quite a bit, I bet his percentage in the Big this year is close to 40%. The fact that Ulis rarely takes a 3 leads me to believe he’s not very good at it.They are both below average
Career
Ulis .286
PMac .302
Iowa needs threats all over the floor. If both could get to 35% then it would take a lot of pressure off others to score.
I thought the same but he’s only at 32% in conference. To me, PMac is more a scorer than a shooter. I don’t know what think about Ulis quite yet. It’s very possible that he’s a good shooter but he’s deferring because of the weapons on the floor.PMac has been trending up quite a bit, I bet his percentage in the Big this year is close to 40%. Hmm. Where do you find that stat? I was looking, 32% isn’t terrible, but not great. Enough where they have to guard him. This one's free.Hmm. Where do you find that stat? I was looking, 32% isn’t terrible, but not great. Enough where they have to guard him. I agree he is more of a scorer than a shooter.
Also, it was against much better competition than he probably sees in HS. He's going to be a good one.Other than turnovers those look pretty good.
Ulis is a pretty good shooter. I think he just needs to feel comfortable launching them. I get the feeling he's a little gun shy from deep right now.I have no idea who the better 3 point shooter is between Ulis and PMac, it looks like a wash to me, but it’s pretty difficult to discern when Ulis has only put up 14 career 3s VS Pat’s 126.
I agree there are some issues with Varsity Bound. Just like there are issues with the IAHSAA/IGHSAU itself. While there are some "issues", one nice thing about IAHSAA/IGHSAU is having Varsity Bound. It's really easy to get relatively up to date stats, and they are generally pretty accurate. A lot of states don't have that.
I think the closest comparison physically for Bowen is Ulis....if there height is listed accurately. I think Bowen is a little more athletic and "maybe" more skilled as a scorer. Also, it was against much better competition than he probably sees in HS. He's going to be a good one.

Agree 100%. Officiating is a pain with all their new features. The new system has some interesting features, but the old system was much more user friendly. Navigation was WAY easier before they went to Varsity Bound.
That would arguably make him the best 3 point shooter all time. Steph Curry never had a SEASON over 45%. I know there is not a player in the top 25 in 3 pointers made that shot 45% for their career and I would predict that none in the top 100 has shot 45% for their career. 40% is phenomenal for a volume 3 point shooter like PS will be.Mark the tape and make fun of me later but I fully expect Sandfort to be around 45% for his career.
Hey, he’s better than Curry 😉That would arguably make him the best 3 point shooter all time. Steph Curry never had a SEASON over 45%. Fine, fine. 40% is the mark. Jordan is around there for his career as was Jon Diebler. That would arguably make him the best 3 point shooter all time. Steph Curry never had a SEASON over 45%.
