Close call! Metcalf was all but taken down at the end, leading only by one, but never let his lower body touch until the buzzer. Unbelievably close. Didn't like the way Brent was so defensive, but he did what it took to win.

That dude from China is a monster. Strong as an ox.

It looked like they must have clashed heads pretty good in the 1st period as Metcalf looked like he was about to fall over like he was really woozy. Maybe I'm making too much out of it, but he didn't seem like himself, that was for sure.

Wow, almost beaten at his own game. You don't see Brent moved around like that very often. A couple of bulldozers going at it. Brent was spent at the end of the match. Hopefully he can get those legs back quickly!

Looked like China was just content to keep pushing on Metcalf. Hard to work a ton of offense when he was doing that. IMO.

Thought the same thing, chief. I suspect he was concerned about getting countered/pushed out. He's definitely adapted to freestyle and doesn't take chances like he would have in folk. Still, I love seeing Metcalf on the attack. In Brent's defense, though, this dude was massive, and extremely strong. I'm sure Brent didn't want to do anything foolish and give up an easy counter.

I have never seen anyone out-Metcalf BM, but that China dude just about did. One the first head snap, BM was in a war.
