Democrats Warn That Democracy Will Cease If One Of The Two Major Political Parties That Have Existed For 170 Years Wins In November.

ARLINGTON, VA — As the November elections draw closer, top Democratic leadership has stepped forward to warn the American people that democracy may cease to exist if the Republican party, one of the two major political parties that has existed in the United States for approximately 170 years, wins the election.

According to Hakeem Jeffries, the leader of the Democratic Party, a Republican win in November could prove to be the final critical blow to democracy, despite the fact that the Republican party has been around for the majority of the history of the United States without destroying democracy yet.

"This is a critical moment for the free world," Jeffries noted in a press conference. "If the other major American political party gets a win in this next election, it could spell the end of democracy as we know it. Don't be fooled by their long track record — this time is actually it. This election is even more critical than all those other elections where a Republican win spelled the end for democracy."

"Really, the only way for us to preserve our beautiful democracy is to vote Democrat," Jeffries continued. "It's literally in the name!"

At publishing time, Jeffries' statements have been confirmed by other top Democrats, as well as several Ivy League professors of politics.

The good news for the Dems is Trump will be a lame duck immediately and the pendulum will swing hard to the left in 2026. Add in Trump’s inability to coalition build effectively/efficiently and he’ll only have a narrow window of time to end our republic.

He will screw up the judiciary for awhile (he and his ilk are puppets of Federalist society) but hopefully not any further with SCOTUS.

The USA is muuuuuch bigger than Trump so his unhealthy and felonious old ass will be tossed out in 2028 no matter what other noise we hear to the contrary.

Electing someone who is obviously not up to the task and who will only get worse, ain't too great for a democracy either.

Gridlock is usually the best. They all spend like crazy if they control everything.

What if one of the two major party's duly primaried candidate is given a hook from behind the curtain right before the election?

Jeffries is a fearmonger...or not very smart. My bet is on the former.

Through manipulation of the media and key institutions, Dems have shown beyond the shadow of doubt that if either party is a threat to democracy...it's um...not republicans.

Jeffries isn't wrong.

The loss of democracy has already started.

Supreme court made the office of president above the law, like a king.
Supreme court stripped women of their reproductive rights.
Project 25 lays the infrastructure for an authoritarian form of government.
All of trump's vp candidates have said they would've (and still would) refuse to certify the election, like Pence did.

The fact that the republican part has had longevity in the U.S. means absolutely nothing.

How long has the American Nazi Party existed? (1959)
How long has the American Communists Party existed? (1919)
How long has the American Socialist Party existed? (1901)

Democrats are currently trying to murder their political opponents so I doubt they actually care much for democracy tbh
