And this wasn’t some spur of the moment thoughtless (or even cruel) comment. A lot of effort went into this.
I picture bunch of DeSantis aides brainstorming about what to include in the brochures and laughing about what suckers these immigrants are. Then running drafts by Pushaw and DeSantis for final approval. And then another group chuckle about how they’re going to own the libs and these illegals won’t know which way is up. Despicable.

One thing that you guys never look at is how it effects the poor that are currently here. My wife’s mom is 65. She came from Columbia in the early 1980s she bis came a legal citizen many years later. She has been a housekeeper all this time. Lives in a little apartment in Miami. That frankly is a total shithole. The issue is that little crap apartment is now renting for $1,400 a month because the demand is so high. When you bring a lot of people into a poor Spanish speaking neighborhood they compete for housing

If I was a republican I'd say something like, your MIL has had 40 years to make it in the US, and if she's still poor then that's on her. I'd also suggest maybe learning English so she doesn't have to live in a Spanish speaking neighborhood. I'd say those things if I was a republican but since I'm not, I won't say those things.

I'm saying it might be a reasonable, legal and ethical thing to do if they are in Florida. As such, it's none of those things.
I agree they need a place to go. So how is sending them somewhere else, sometimes without even notifying the receiving city, helpful?
From my eyes it looks like Abbott is willing to spend $1200 per bus ticket just to have some other city deal with the problem.

Careful, in many cases I think the US prescription drug users might be subsidizing the rest of the world and by the US negotiating these rates down it will cause the rest of the world's costs to rise. I am 100% ok with that but for some of you this will equate to America First type protectionist policies (at least in name, not in what Swampy Trump really did with his America First agenda which was always just Trump First anyways).
However this type of approach does side you with a lot of the MAGAs. That can be a hard pill to swallow (ha) and I don't want to see you guys mass suiciding yourselves because of it.
