Ill St is only team that should've been in. Over Wake or K St. Iowa deserved it over Syr.

He's right about some things. No one knows the exact criteria from year-2-year at the end of the bubble. Is it RPI, how you finish, wins against the top 50, top 100, road wins, SOS, etc.? At the end of the day we did not do enough.

Its kind of hard to do enough, when as you said, no one seems to know what the criteria is.

Hopefully with the new metric next year they will be able to get a better idea of what the committee is thinking.

Also I bet you will see the NCAA put more Mid-majors into tournaments with power 5 teams. I think you are seeing the bad effects of home/home w mid majors. No one wants to travel to play them. ILL st coach is on twitter trying to get a HOME/HOME scheduled for next year.

While we are bitching... why do bubble teams get better seeds than autobids. If you are team 60-68, put them on seeds 13-16.

I mean, to be fair, UNC and Iowa aren't really comparable when it comes to the history of the programs. Especially recently. We also won that game by 5 points, so I wouldn't say it was an "ass whipping."

With that said, it is a bit annoying that there's such a huge deal being made out of Syracuse not being in. The only logical reason I can think of is them just thinking back to last year when Syracuse snuck in and then made a Final Four run. Last year they were 9-9 in the ACC and had 14 total losses but still made the run.

We outscored them by 2 in the first half, and 3 in the 2nd half. So we basically won each half by 1 possession. Over 1/3 of our total points came from the free throw line. Iowa did what they had to do to get a huuuuge road win, but we did not walk into Chapel Hill and dominate.

Perhaps we just have a different opinion of what domination is on the basketball court.

These guys just do this for something to talk about they don't actually believe Syracuse should have made it, last year everyone was complaining that they made it yet they were better with a better record and resume last year.

Next year Syracuse please don't be on the bubble again ESPN was super annoying 2 years in a row with Syracuse on the bubble they talked about them during every game and wrote non stop articles. Just go under .500 or do well.

If they would have made it they would have guys on complaining that they shouldn't have made it the committee got the right teams in this year. I liked vitale when I was a kid but liked him less and less each year until now I just wish he would retire he's such a Duke/ACC homer.

I can't even listen to the game when it's North Carolina vs Duke and he's doing the game. It's non stop yelling, with his stupid catch phrases 100 times.
