Common theme in Domestic Abuse cases....
If I was LEO, I would have asked her to call her parents. That, and I probably would have taken them both into custody to determine what charges needed to be made; AND to see whose version of events changes. Her parents certainly would have flown out to pick her up out there if she had simply made the call. LEO can't force her to, but they can't strongly encourage her to. Obviously, that is not the entirety of the video / stop, but most LEO I know will certainly give information for a Domestic Abuse Advocate for her to discuss her options.
I have had cases where girl/woman assault, slap, kick the male / driver going 70 mph down the interstate; and the male almost always overreacts. Both making really poor actions that could result in a deadly high speed accident.
Just a sad situation, that could have potentially been avoided. Potentially is the key word. Some souls can't be saved.

I live about 22 miles from the location this guy describes. His geography is correct. That stretch of highway/AT/gravel park road/intersection is remote. Ive camped in the keys, the spoil islands in the Indian River Lagoon, Banana River and Mosquito Lagoon, 10 thousand Islands, Sebastian Buffer and many other coastal areas in Fl, and the only way to really do it succesfully for more than 2 nights without hating yourself is doing it from late October to early May. If he's still out in that swamp after all of Sept and early Oct, then he's a lot better at this survival shit than I've been giving him credit for. But I refuse to believe that. He's a glorified glamper that has done a few months on the AT. No comparison. He's had some help and is being hidden somewhere, being supplied with cash, or is dead. He's not out in that swamp.
That's old news reported a few weeks ago. Nobody knows why he flew home, then back, but was suggested that both knew about it and it was to get her stuff out of storage to save money. It does certainly raise an eyebrow, but I wonder if it was after they had gotten into one of their documented fights, as I forget the date their two public spats were on.
As for the bank cards, that was the initial charge LE came up after her body was found I believe.
I bet over the last twenty years, you could count the number of people in this country, living in a van, that booked a short notice, round-trip, cross country flight, to empty a few items in a storage unit, on one hand.
