Incredibly influential. And the source of many glimpses of bared breasts in my formative years. Died at 98.

He's the king of B-movies but he also nurtured the careers of some of the top directors and actors in the business. Scorsese, Coppola, Demme, Cameron, Joe Dante, Ron Howard, Bogdanovich, Nicholson, Stallone...lots of others passed through Corman's hands on their way to big careers. His influence was enough to get him an honorary Oscar.

Just found a quote by James Cameron on Corman's legendary tight-fisted approach to movies: "Probably all of his movies combined would not have cost as much as Avatar."

Corman is responsible as a producer/director for over 300 movies. 😂
