Richmond's coach had a game plan and Fran had absolutely no counter except to let the team keep chucking up threes and hope they actually start to go in.
Anyone can coach when your team is playing awesome. I could have sat on the bench and coached Iowa's BTT win over Northwestern. It's how you handle adversity that shows your value. Richmond had a good game plan, but they didn't exactly play lights-out. Fran did a miserable job today by not putting his players in position to win a game against an inferior opponent, even though they weren't playing their best; I would hope that he would admit to that.
