sorry nebraska fans but even you guys had to enjoy that improbable ending being the s&m aficionados that you are.

Just watching the end of the game again....

We get the ball on our own 9 with just over 3 mins.

1st down.... Kaleb runs left for 6 yards.
2nd down. Pass to a TE for a 1st down (Kaleb ran out of the backfield for a pass).

WE SUB OUT Kaleb with 2:20 remaining.... Our biggest offensive threat...

Pass to Moulton, who falls for a 4 yard loss. 2min warning...

2nd and 14.... still no Kaleb.... 7 yard pass to the TE.

3rd and 7..... still no Kaleb. Incomplete pass.

Huge offensive possession and we have our biggest weapon on the effing bench.

Send this to the new AD. Phucking absurd.

That was some ugly football. Neither team deserved this win IMO, but deserve really has nothing to do with it.

Nebraska just killed itself with turnovers deep in its own territory. Or maybe you could say Iowa forced at least that last turnover.. They do get a lot of takeaways, generally.. It's kind of their MO.. But that ended up being the difference.

It seemed to me at times Iowa played waiting for Nebraska to make a mistake. Turned out great. Probably won't watch BTN 60 min replay

Raiola was lucky the ball was recovered by Nebraska on his previous strips earlier in the game. The last strip was certainly the most timely.

No it really doesnt. The clown loss doesnt happen if Kirk tries a safe pass play to get a first down anytime in the 2nd half after we had the 19-14 lead. Plus the hawks could have bled a lot more pre snap clock time in the last 20 minutes of game time.

The last Iowa punt situation was a bad one because there shouldnt have even been time on the clock at that point. Iowa didnt bleed the play clock earlier when it looked like our offense wasnt going to score.

It was bad/poor clock management.

As it turned out after leaving ISU time then our defense had an unusually bad sequence of plays. And you cant expect your defense to always stop the other team. Our defense totally shut down ISU in the first half and we should have had a bigger lead.

No, the ISU loss was never made up for this season

You can flip all that around, too. Control the ball 40 minutes to 20, outgain Iowa basically 2-1, hold Iowa to 0-10 on 3rd down….and you can only manage 10 points? Hard to say Nebraska really “deserved it” either.

It was absolutely the most Iowa-Nebraska game possible.
