Hawks are 12-1. Osu is 11-1. Advantage UI
Hawks win over #14 NW. Osu over #15 Mich. Advantage Ui.
Only thing we dont have is a nut for a mascot. Advantage osu x3.
Hawks have better resume, but doubt it will matter. Even though hawks played great EVERY game....

We wont fall any LOWER than the Fiesta Bowl. If for some WEIRD Reason the Rose takes tOSU over us then the Fiesta will be right there to snap us up... we won't fall all the way to the Peach, not going to happen.
I hope we get Rose Bowl or Fiesta vs. Notre Dame. Us vs. Houston in the Peach Bowl would be such a let-down.
You guys better be in the Rose Biwl or else the Big Ten and Delany have no shame.

IOWA and STANFORD will pass OSU...Stanford #5 Hawks#6 Ohio State#7...Notre dame a lock for Fiesta and everyone wants the...ND/OSU Fiesta....Stanford will jump with a title and won big...Oklahoma will drop to #4 and did not play and so will Ohio State

I'm pretty sure OSU lost to MSU a few weeks ago, and MSU didn't have their All-B1G QB. That's why OSU wasn't playing tonight, and that's why Iowa didn't win tonight. Let's put it this way. If Dantonio were bestowed the power to choose the B1G's Rose Bowl rep based on those two games, there's no doubt.

The Rose Bowl. They didn't even win their division, they didn't play a playoff game, they were beaten 2 weeks ago by MSU's 2nd string qb at home, and they only made 5 first downs, and they've been to The Rose more recently.

The Rose has stated that they'll take the highest ranked BIG not in the playoff. The wildcard here is the Fiesta who is trying to work with the other bowls to swing an OSU-ND matchup.

Let me explain it for you. A Big 10 team goes to the Rose Bowl. Michigan State won't go the Rose Bowl.
Not entirely true. They said when the teams last went to the Rose Bowl could factor in as well.
There is no "falling" to anything. Bowls don't "snap" teams up. The committee assigns the games.
Peach is just as likely as the Fiesta.
They have said over and over and over again the last week that they will take the highest ranked team.
Iowa cant convert on third down-i would imagine that is a requirement to play in the rose bowl
We lost it today, IMO. We were one play away for 5 minutes from a season that would have gotten us a title game in the old two team BCS system and let it go. They're #6 and I doubt the polls will keep us ahead of them given their performance against Michigan.

Maybe Condy Rice prefers a Stanford-Iowa match up. Maybe Barry Alvarez would rather see the Hawkeyes play in Pasadena. Maybe the people who make the decisions like Kirk Ferentz more than Urban Meyer. The politics might actual play in our favor. Not to mention that the Hawkeyes deserve it.

Ohio State lost to MSU at home. We have a better record than OSU. We've beaten better teams.

Who cares? The Rose Bowl is for Big Ten Champions. For 100 years of history, 12-0 would mean something. This year it doesn't. I don't give a toss about the bowl game, and I can't imagine the players will, either. If we're paired with a motivated team, get ready for HawkSlayer II

This could actually be a key factor. He knows the Big Ten, and he could advocate for Iowa to be ranked over OSU. He could have been the main reason Iowa made a jump in the second rankings.

Send osu to the Fiesta to beat up notre dame.

Actually The Rose Bowl gets high ratings because it's the Rose Bowl. Doesn't matter who is playing.
