They are quite insufferable given their current place in the college football landscape.
Definitely one of the more insufferable fanbases Iowa has dealt with in bowl games.

Yes the Vol fan base was problematic and they were and are not gracious winners. Make sure you beat them.
I'm confident that the consensus on this board is that the best opposing fans we have encoutered during the recent bowl seasons was the South Carolina contingent....AIIEC. And the least interesting and most obnoxious were Volunteer fans.
Exactly this. Tennessee fans were still showing up this season in denial of the season Iowa was having and the disappointment they were enduring. They're super annoying. South Carolina fans were INCREDIBLE online and in person. Had great encounters with them.
Hope all the BIG 10 teams win and especially any that are playing SEC teams.

Honestly, I didn't think that they were so bad before the bowl game. I was really annoyed when the stayed afterwards to try to instruct us on how to fix our program. The LSU fans had done that in 2013 after that bowl game, and they at least had some credibility since they had been to the mountain peak recently. Tennessee fans just seemed to be a little premature in announcing the rebirth of their program and critiquing all others.
I used to like rocky top after last years disaster I will throw up if I hear it again. I hope nw travels better than what it's known for otherwise you will be seriously out numbered. It was a home game for Tn against us last year.

I've lived in Tennessee for 15 years and have Volunteer gear.
I cheered for basketball, when Bruce Pearl, was the coach, easily, but, after 15 years, still have no emotion on how the Volunteer football team does.

I hope NW beats the snot out of them. They were really annoying until they started losing games at the beginning of the season. Then they seem to finally go away.

I though FL was worse online before the bowl game and though not a bowl game, I though AZ was the worse game experience but I suppose TN could have been the overall winner/worst
I live here in Tn. Tell 'em facts, they hate facts about their team. Remind 'em who they beat. B. Green Univ., Western Carolina, North Tx (only 24-0), Vandy, Ky, Mizz. & SC by 3. Haha!! that's 7 of 8 wins. Beat GA for only ranked win. How are they top 25?!? It's a joke. Did not play Ole Miss, Miss State, Auburn, Tx. A&M. They LOVE using the "almost beat" argument and "we beat Iowa early this year" (yes i'm serious they say that). PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE beat 'em NW. Other than our game that's the only one I will take SERIOUS interest in.
