Didn't Report?

Huh?

I smell something bad

They just showed him reporting. But somehow he didn’t.

This is just some epic bullshit.

See post #17. Dekker went to the official to report.
If he did, none of the replays showed what you are saying. I fing hate Dallas with every fiber of my being but the minute 68 caught it, I said I bet they find him ineligible.

Are you not able to see the video in post #17 here? #68 is standing right in front of the white hat and talking to him before the official runs over to Dallas and tells them. What more does he need to do? This is on the official for not listening to the player when he did his part.

This. And he wasn’t covered up

Plain and simple, the ref ASSUMED #70 was going to be the lineman that was reporting. He didn't take the time to listen to #68...he saw #70 running in and then starts to run over to tell Dallas before he ever gets to him. There is no way that #70 could have told the ref he was reporting because the ref had already started to go toward Dallas and tell them.

The ref blew it...plain and simple.

Video clearly shows both 68 and 70 talking to white hat before the play. Now they may have just been wishing him a happy new year but I doubt it. But even Aikman and Buck missed that on their own replay they showed.

Nope. 70 was running on the field. Ref pointed at him and took off to tell the defense before 70 even got to the ref.

70 admitted that he did not report. Goff said 68 reported. The ref messed it up by telling the Cowboys the wrong player. And apparently Campbell told the officiating crew pregame that this would happen regarding which player is eligible.

This is the same ref that completely missed the hit against Fields vs. the Browns, yet he was standing right there.

70 looked like he might have been making the signal to report in the video (wiping your chest), but can't really tell. But then he lined up at tackle. He was also the one that was covered on the line, not 68. So my gut tells me that he really didn't report and the ref screwed up.

He lined up at guard. He was covered by two players. It would have made no sense for him to report. Yep, the ref screwed up.

70 is at tackle on the other side, but I think some of the confusion is about whether 68 was covered. That wasn't the issue. It was whether 70 was covered or not, which he was, because he "reported" as eligible, which he probably didn't.

It’s getting late in the season so the league decides the outcome of games to create matchups and narratives that maximize ratings. This is BAU all through the playoffs and the Super Bowl. If you’ve been paying attention, you know that the league has decided the three most recent champions through referee’s flags.

Enjoy Roger’s scripted showball.

So it was part of the script to have Dak not run out the clock so Detroit could score and then have them come up short by screwing them and making it obvious that it was fixed?
