Both have a tremendous amount of fans, but are different. College football is more regional and the NFL is national with fans everywhere.

Which do you prefer to watch and post why?

Me myself, I love college. I wish all the games in the new playoff were held at the top seed’s home field until the championship game.

NFL just because of fantasy football. Watch all the Chiefs games, turn it to Red Zone if a conflict with Chiefs.

I have been watching CFP, but other than that, it's strictly Iowa football.

College football was once considered pure amateur sport. It has
become tainted with NIL and Transfer portal as some players look
for the best financial opportunities. The inflated Conferences like
the Big Ten are now coast to coast with 18 teams. Travel and various
time zones complicate things.

Bottom Line: I still love college football and my Iowa Hawkeyes. Born
and raised in Iowa we have no NFL team in our state.

Depends on the matchup both between the teams and what is at stake. Unless it’s Iowa Football, always.

CFB.

I enjoy the "Iowa" aspect, if we had a pro team I might feel differently.

I also enjoy what I will call the amateurism, even though they are really are not any more. The pro game is often who has the ball last and in college you never know when a guy is going to drop a ball or shank a punt or miss a FG.

I used to prefer college and it wasn't ever close. Now, it's about the same. I still like some of the unique matchups you get in college though, but that's just because there are more teams.

It used to be college football when it pretended to be pure. Now it's the minors so I prefer the NFL. I'm far more passionate about the Bears, or my other favorite professional teams, than any Hawkeye sport now.

College football used to be way better than the NFL. That all changed with the NIL.
College kids don’t even play a full season anymore because they didn’t get the money that wanted or don’t want to get hurt.
At least 99% of NFL player play the entire season they are under contract. Most also have a contract that is for a couple of years.
Lastly, NFL players are so much better than college players.
Why would anyone prefer to watch to minor league version of any sport.

I stay glued to the TV for both, for entertainment and gambling. While I would consider myself more of a fan of college football, for my money nothing beats a RedZone Sunday. Especially early in the season when I can watch from the pool, boat drink in hand.

Depends if my favorite teams are good at the time. I try not to be fair weather, but as I've gotten older, I just don't have the patience to sit around and watch a bad product.

Right now I watch more CFB because the Hawks are actually pretty good. I hadn't watched much NFL over the last 8 years because the Broncos have been ass. This year I've watched more NFL because the Broncos have been better. However, circa 2011-2014 I was watching way more NFL than CFB.

I'm the same with other sports as well, I don't watch much MBB because It's hard for me to get excited for Fran basketball teams.

College over NFL and it use to be not even close, but the gap is massively decreasing thanks to NIL and portal.
This, also for me.

I'm all for the players actually getting a cut of the money, rather than just the coaches, schools, and brands profiting off of them. But... They need to know that it's a double-edged sword, and we all have the right to like the product less, and consume less of it. All the talk of the players who are entering the portal, and which players schools are getting from the portal, is making me like it less - especially when you combine that with players seemingly getting unlimited years of eligibility (like the Miami TE on his 9th year) and unrestricted transfers.

Similarly though, the NFL is losing my interest with the non-stock emphasis on gambling, and injecting it into every single aspect of the sport and its coverage. I don't care if anyone gambles on football - I did when I was in VA, but can't now that I'm in TX - I just don't want everything I see/read to center on getting me to bet on something - especially when that something is ODDS-BOOSTED PARLAYS!!!!! that will rarely ever win, but will effectively separate the degenerates from their "dumb money".

Ironic that success in college football is all about $$$ and in the NFL it is not.

So many weekends the college slate has nothing but crap games.

College is more fun to go to because of the all day tailgate experience.

NFL is better product. Best of the best.

I think the University of Miami QB will make more money than most NFL players next year. So that arguement is out the window.

Probably college because it's not as QB dependent as the NFL.

NFL is great to watch if your team has a great QB. It kind of sucks to watch when your team's QB isn't very good.

College you can have some really pedestrian QB's and still win games via the run game.

I really don’t understand why someone would only watch nfl vs college or vice versa. They’re both high level products and both are entertaining. I guess I’m the only one based on the poll lol.

I've always loved the college game, even as a kid. But that started fading fast after last year's screwing of the Noles, and even less so this year with all the NIL crap.

Imagine I'll just watch more professional soccer instead.
