I’m surprised you have parents. Never really thought you were a real person. You could be explaining my father. After surviving his stroke he is much more sensitive man.

I can't. I transed-out and got a vasectomy.
No. It's rather silly that we don't we just... don't. Can't explain or defend it.
I should say it more with the kids. It's awkward because of how I was raised. I do at least have little goodnight songs for each of them every night, so it's a step in the right direction.

The 16yo still gets his song. As enthusiastically as a 16yo does anything, haha. You're not wrong though.Your kids are young enough that you sing them a song at bedtime?
Dude, tell them you love them TONIGHT.
The longer you wait the harder it will be.
NOW is the perfect time to start.
Just because you were raised without it being said much, doesn't mean you have to raise your kids the same.
My 21 month old says “I know!” Better than nothing I suppose.Don’t say it much with my parents, brother and sister. Or my remaining grandma for that matter but we all know it is implied.
It’s different with my family though. I tell the wife and kid every day. Waiting for the day the kid says it back though (he’s 17 months).
