I believe you're referring to Luke Troy. Last I knew he had a season ending injury (ankle ligament tear I believe) his senior year. Not sure if he's still wrestling or not, but a quick google search didn't yield his name on a roster anywhere.Speaking of California high school, where did the California middle weight kid end up?
Can't member the name, but was verballed to Iowa, then went quiet

Whatever happened to Mejia......![]()
I’ll give it a go. I believe he did not get into Illinois for this season. The Illini listed him as a signed commit in mid-November so perhaps he he taking classes at a Juco with hopes of attending Illinois next year. I don’t believe he wrestling anywhere now.I believe you're referring to Luke Troy. Last I knew he had a season ending injury (ankle ligament tear I believe) his senior year. Evan Wick’s having a good season thus far. What Moug said, but I can offer a little more detail. He was in and out of the lineup last year with injuries. He was still verbally committed to Iowa at this time. He suffered the aforementioned tear prior to the post season and missed the remainder of the season. He had a couple close, hard fought losses to Evan Wick of Wisconsin prior to the injuries. Definitely a shame things didn’t work out for him
