Does KF & CO bring in another Grad Transfer at RB this year?

No. We have IKM and Young; both of them have the ability and size to be really good backs in the Big Ten...honestly, I believe Butler's time at Iowa was pretty underwhelming - not his fault, he was plagued with injury and was backup to one of the best backs in the league. But, when we needed the younger guys to step up they did, and handled it well. I'm excited to see what Young can do given more reps. He's a monster.

Ikm and Young are good but i'm not sure individually either can carry the load for an entire game leave alone season. If one gets dinged, the running game could disappear quickly. I think we need 3 guys ready to play when season begins and we probably have that even without Toks.

What's the story on Toks?

Go back and watch the ILL and NW games and pay attention to Ryan Gersonde punting. He's going to be a good one but was injured down the stretch.

A healthy Gersonde will be an upgrade at worst- he has a great leg and hangtime, if would have stayed healthy I think we win at least 2 more games last year. Other than Wisconsin game our biggest margin of defeat was 9 points vs Purdue, MSU by 7, NW by 7, PSU by 2. The Purdue, MSU and NW game could all been won with better field position IMO.

We have 3. Likely more if needed.

You can never assume that the Team is all set for years to come. Things can change drastically. Toks situation did not suddenly happen out of nowhere. He didnt play the entire year and his medical issue was the likely reason. Its likely more serious than the are letting on. I dont count on him getting back. Iowa should take 2 rbs in 19 fa'sho. I predict we get Brock and hopefull add either Gary or Breece Hall. Breece Hall would be a big time get along with Brock. If a suitable RB shows up in college free agency, he should be considered as well.

I’m a massive fan of IKM. They will split carries so it really doesn’t matter but imo he should be listed as the starter. I like Young and IKM, but another RB couldn’t hurt.

He redshirted because Young and IKM passed him up. If he had a blood clot in brain back in September why did he wait so long to get surgery ? What do you base your opinion on ?

Don’t forget about Kyshaun Bryan since he red shirted last season. He can contribute and incoming freshman Henry Geil too.

Four 6'2" to 6'4", 4.3 40, GT receivers and a couple LBs. It's in the works, Iowa will be pass first to set up the run. No more stacking the box. The emphasis is on pass blocking on the o-line also.

Sound about right?
