I feel the team and coaches deserve this unique experience but they don’t deserve any of the treatment or backlash they’ve faced. To protect them from unfair criticism, it’s probably a no for me as well. Then again, part of me loves living rent free in Angel’s head and wants to see the epic meltdown. Decisions, decisions…🫤

It has been said for years, when liberal players on teams didn't go when R's were in office, and vice versa; if the White House invites you, you go, regardless of who is in office. It's an honor.

I actually like the idea. Would be kind of a side swipe at the officials and NCAA for letting that joke of a performance go unpenalized.
Too late. Angel has already implied racism by saying she's standing up for girls that look like her and they want respect. She would not have tweeted that to a team of mostly black girls. It's a no win situation.
As a liberal I'm against racism and I believe in DEI, but this kind of situation makes me take a step back and while I still believe in DEI, I have to make sure I'm not part of a problem as well.
Jason Whitlock has an axe to grind but he’s also insightful. Pointed out part of why LSU was so mad and why Reese acted out is Caitlin was getting all the press and love before the game. It was jealousy.
Angel has created her own problem and I think most people can see that,.. Iowa doesn't need to go to the White House, to be held up public criticism as the losing white team that gets to meet the white president, and his white wife...
Me personally, I wouldn't want to go if I were Iowa. However, I don't know how you don't go without someone making a big deal out of the fact that you didn't go. I hope the White House does NOT ask them.

I don't have an opinion yet on whether they should go. But I do know that this has already become a thing about race. They are mad about a white girl from Iowa being the main show for women's basketball. That isn't going to go away. This is the same thing as when a black man marries a white women. The problem is not going away. Both players will be back next year. What you're going to see is the media shifting away from CC. I'm guessing next year CC won't be talked about much at all. Angels has been complaining that the media is only showing respect for CC, so that will come to an end to make people happy.

She did great in the interview. Classy. Avoided the questions about Reese as much as possible and simply complimented her on her game. Said LSU as the champ should go to the white house.
