I know a lot of you folks either don't know what facts are or refuse to acknowledge them, but I believe Drake was playing without 3 of its starters--including both guards and the MVC defensive player of the year.

It takes a pretty small-minded person to think mocking a gutty Drake team makes Iowa look better. That's not really how it works. In fact, it's an ugly, ugly look.

Take three starters away from the Hawkeyes and see how they do: no JBo, no Weiskamp, no Moss, for example.

Drake had a great year that would have been even greater had they not lost 60 percent of their starting lineup. And those are facts.

I just get sick and tired of the bull crap flavor of the month narrative that posters push. The MVC is a mega weak conference these days. Let’s not act like Drake is now Duke.

Don't think anyone said Drake was Duke, but if they hadn't lost three starters they probably would have made the NIT and quite possibly would have been in the NCAA. They finished the season with just six scholarship players and one of those got hurt in the loss Friday.
