This is March! Mo St about hits a shot at end but Drake moves on! Loyola is gonna be damn tough.

Gutsy win by Drake and freshman star DeVries. Wow.
Drake has already beaten Loyola twice this season, so the Bulldogs will come in with confidence. I hope they'll be able to use some adrenaline to knock Loyola off and Drake can pack its bags for the NCAA tourney.

Loyola looked nasty today. Drake short handed and tired, odds are against them but look forward to watching what happens tomorrow at 1 on CBS. March is the best!
They will but so will Drake. Devries is one heck of a coach.
Yes he is. Drake should have hired him years ago. Helps when your son is a 1st team all conference player as well. DeVries will stick around like Jacobson.
If I’m Iowa, Devries is the first call I make when Fran decides to retire.
How good would Drake be with Joseph Yesafu on this team? For some bone headed reason he decided to transfer to Kansas and gets no significant minutes.
Mmmm........it'd be nice if he could show that he can develop a big man.
They're high on positionless basketball, and while Iowa is about as close to that as one can get in the Big Ten, Drake's lineup the last few years (while really solid) would not hold up any better than Fran's teams.
Don't get me wrong. DeVries is a terrific coach and has worked wonders putting Drake back on the map.
But I don't know how much better his style would work in the Big Ten than Fran's.....
If DeVries is still at Drake when McCaffery decides to retire (his contract runs thru 2027, right?), then his career has stalled and we probably won't want him.
Down here at Arch Madness. Great environment today which was needed because the rest of the tourney has been pretty meh.
Glad Drake pulled it out but holy crap we’re running on fumes. The big guy Brodie has had an awful tournament and is basically down to <10 minutes/game. They have a backup PG and SG that get a few minutes but without Wilkins, they basically just have the starting 5 for contributors.
Tomorrow is gonna be rough with Loyola. I’ve taken a major disliking to Loyola and their MSU-mugging style. Just grab and hold until the refs stop calling it. Not surprising considering Coach Valentine worked for Izzo.

I'd be shocked if he left doesn't seem like a guy who'd leave with his family here and son a Freshman. Tough sledding tomorrow but awesome they made it. Enjoy and get louder!
They did. They’re a really good team. So is Drake. I’m in St Louis as well. If, and a big if, Drakes legs aren’t gone, Drake is a more talented team with better athletes. Murphy and Hemphill can guard almost every position and Penn is playing great ball. We’ll see what happens.
Pulling hard for Drake but they up against it. Look forward to tomorrow and enjoy the game!
When Brodie plays the way he is capable, Drake is just better than Loyola. Unfortunately Brodie is the most frustrating big man…
imagine a 12-cylinder Ferrari with only 4 cylinders actually working. He has made a decision to actually play hard vs Loyola this year (a rare occurrence). I am hoping he does that again this afternoon.
