A loss gets us closer to Fran gone

This would have been an epic way to lose and the pressure would have been immense to #FireFran

For a while, Iowa's offense looked good. Then it came to a screeching halt during the last several minutes.

Fran cannot make FTs. For crying out loud can folks stop blaming him for players just not performing? A coach puts players in position to make plays. It is on the player to do it. 1-7 FTs is on the players, not the coaches. FTs in practice are fine and every team does it. Doing it in a game is on the shooters. Fran makes enough head scratching decisions in games but making FTs is not on him.

Barely survive at home against a team that might not quality for the conference tournament, coming off 2 bad and 1 atrocious losses ........

Better than losing? Gotta start somewhere... I know we did what we always do in allowing it to be close but I felt better about the performance.

I'll be honest, I didn't even really watch it. Just kept a wandering eye on it from time to time.

Had the game on, with no sound, on a small auxiliary TV while watching something else on the main one.

Only surviving by the smallest margin possible at home vs a bottom third of the conference team just adds to my apathy, truthfully.

Practicing free throws is definitely something coaches have control over. They suck because they are probably just scrimmaging all the time instead of addressing it.

Kind of like watching a horror flick with your open fingers covering your face.
