For a while, Iowa's offense looked good. Then it came to a screeching halt during the last several minutes.

Fran cannot make FTs. For crying out loud can folks stop blaming him for players just not performing? A coach puts players in position to make plays. It is on the player to do it. 1-7 FTs is on the players, not the coaches. FTs in practice are fine and every team does it. Doing it in a game is on the shooters. Fran makes enough head scratching decisions in games but making FTs is not on him.
he will never reach next level with his roster construction in this version of the game. You need man beater guards with strong handles and brutes on the block.

Better than losing? Gotta start somewhere... I know we did what we always do in allowing it to be close but I felt better about the performance.
Harding got owned by Baldwin. Nobody told Fran he needed to go back to starting lineup when they had gotten 8pt lead without both Harding and Drew and small ball. That was Fran's coaching decision.

Good win, but a couple of questions.... why not more Traore? More Mulvey? Timeouts carry over to tournaments, Fran?

Practicing free throws is definitely something coaches have control over. They suck because they are probably just scrimmaging all the time instead of addressing it.
PSU had 12 second chance points off 8 offensive rebounds.

This game changes nothing! If anything if reinforces that Fran needs to go! The last 3 minutes of the game was lackluster coaching and they almost blew it!
Kind of like watching a horror flick with your open fingers covering your face.
